Love the art deco building and the light and bright interior. Cinema is comfortable and the range of films a mix of commercial and more arthouse. The cafe is rather bland and sterile and most especially, the restaurant upstairs needs attention: really poor veggie options (and a mean main course portion) and the ambience is non-existent. I'd like to see this have a different feel from the downstairs cafe: the two are almost identical, certainly in appearance. It should be a buzzing place and it's very quiet. I really want this project to work: it's a community-run cinema and it's a fantastic concept. I wish it all success.
