I visited The Steading in August with my partner for one night after I participated in a local triathlon. The B&B really impressed us with the quality of the decor and the modern, homely feel not to mention the superb breakfast. We were well looked after by our host Sarah Jane who has an eye for detail when it comes to interior design and country living with designer touches throughout the home. The B&B is within easy reach of Aberfeldy and Pitlochry by car.
Admittedly we could not find the property at first but our host kindly gave us directions when we phoned.
We look forward to returning in future and would highly recommend to anyone with discerning tastes visiting Perthshire.

Was staying to do a half marathon in Aberfeldy so just come on my own but couldn't have felt more welcomed by Sarah Jane.

Home cooking is wonderful, including cake given on arrival which was the best welcome I could have imagined. Breakfast was really enjoyable and Sarah Jane would have made most things you could have fancied.

Room was stunning- spacious for a twin, gorgeous bathroom, great toiletries, lovely fluffy towels, a comfy bed, and little seats outside which were lovely seen as the weather was nice.

The location is picturesque and the standards are so high it is more like a boutique hotel than a B&B. Would recommend to anyone.

Our stay at this B&B exceeded all expectation. My Husband and I were celebrating a Special Anniversary and the Hotelier certainly added that special touch with some lovely surprises gifted. The standard of cleanliness is so great that I didn't have any hesitation in using anything. The food was tasty and there was more than plenty. The room was lovely and the location was picturesque. There is simply nothing negative to write about. The service provided, in every aspect was First Class and the Hotelier goes the extra mile to make your stay very special indeed.

Can't recommend this most lovely B&B highly enough! From the warm welcome, tea and cakes on the terrace to helping us find a reservation for dinner at late notice. After a day walking Munros we found a great bed, wonderful shower, lovely luxuries and a most magnificent breakfast! Will need to find an excuse to return!

Stunning boutique B&B. From the tea and cake on arrival to crisp Egyptian Cotton bedding dressed with finest Scottish Wool no luxuries have been overlooked in this delightful accommodation. A private annex for guests with it's own cosy log fired drawing room and candlelit terrace to see the sun set.
Top end toiletries fluffy white baled towels, robe - slate tiled bathroom this was more like a luxury spa room than a county retreat. Breakfast was amazing all local produce freshly cooked we can't recommend enough. For £95 this was an absolute steal we will definitely be back.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Steading near Aberfeldy for two nights in late June 2012. The house is newly built, with a purpose-designed two- room B&B annex finished to a very high standard. We moved on to a four-star island hotel on Scotland’s East Coast and it was a definite step down in quality and step up in price from this B&B.

Rooms are simply decorated with high quality fabrics and muted Highland colours, a small TV, kettle, hairdryer and huge bundle of fluffy towels for both of us. The bathroom with huge walk in shower made our own at home looked distinctly unloved. Moulton Brown toiletries were a nice addition.

The welcome could not have been nicer; Sarah-Jane is an excellent host and, as we found out from fresh tea and cake on arrival and two indulgent breakfasts a really good cook. The B&B is obviously very new as breakfast menus had yet to return from the printers and the breakfast choices from a full Scottish breakfast to Scrambled Eggs and Smoked Salmon, fresh fruit salad, pastries and toast probably needs a menu as we were having difficulty choosing as Sarah-Jane described each choice. On our second night, wet from a day out we were greeted by a blazing wood-burner and tea, again a really nice touch.

All in all, Aberfeldy was a good place to stop with a great bookshop and soon to open refurbished cinema and an easy gateway to the Cairngorms. The Steading B&B is a real gem and well worth visiting about three miles outside of the town in a quiet rural spot. The B&B website is, for once, a good reflection of the warmth, charm and style of the property. They are due to upgrade the rather bumpy drive that we passed three times before venturing up, but with this sorted there will be little to fault.

Room Tip: There are two room one downstairs and one upstairs so if you can't manage the quite narrow stair...
