Description: Superb tea room in the wilds of highland Perthshire. Well worth the 60 mile trip from Perth. Scones piled high with proper cream - wonderful!

It is a long road up Glen Lyon and this is a welcome stop. First class service, food and teas, provisions for all. It is in the middle of nowhere with lovely view across the hills and river, very relaxing. If anyone produces a 'cafes to visit before you die' this deserves an inclusion

Locals know that this small cafe has a remarkable range -- homemade soup and thick bread for hungry walkers and sightseers, essential supplies for fishermen and other visitors making longer stays, souvenirs, etc. If you make the drive up Glen Lyon, it's an essential and very welcome stop. If the weather's nice, you can even eat outside.

I stopped in this picturesque location for lunch. The staff are really, really friendly and the home made soup was delicious.

It's a really pretty location and the quality of the food and welcome is fantastic.

A lovely place to have a relaxing lunch and enjoy watching the river.

My wife & I stopped here for a light lunch, having read the previous reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed! She had the tomato & roasted red pepper soup, full of flavour with a lovely zing to it. I had the smoked bacon & pea soup, again a very tasty, hearty homemade soup which was truly excellent. We've both had soup in many other coofee shops/cafes over the years, we both agreed that the soup here was truly outstanding.

For dessert we both had the almond & pistachio cake, homemade and again full with flavour. A decent sized piece was given too.

The tea room has a limited menu, however that is because everything is home made and is not prepared in bulk. Fine by me, I'd rather have quality over quantity any day! Also it doubles as a small post-office/shop, it has a warm atmosphere and is straight out of the days when the services industry was face-to-face abnd not so impersonal as it is now.

Small, simple cafe serving home-made cakes and soups in a lovely location. This place is a bit of a local lifeline and you always meet interesting people there - either visiting or 'from the Glen'. Big, big pieces of cake, locally-roast Glen Lyon coffee, and interesting hearty soups. We've been there four or five times since we moved up here and we're never disappointed. And if it's not too cold, you can sit outside and look at the River Lyon and admire the Glen (there's a sheltered area for seating, popular with cyclists who want to keep an eye on their bikes). Dogs are also welcome outside.
