This was a nice place but there are definitely better to choose from. Old world meets modern. Scotch was fine but nothing to call home about. Worth the trip but just nothing too special.

We enjoyed an interesting and fun couple of hours at the Distillery. Having visited a few distilleries and knowing a little about the manufacture of whisky already we thought it would be quite similar to other distillery visits. But, there’s a real personal touch about this visit – you feel you get to know the family and understand what was important to them in their journey of making and selling whisky. We enjoyed the film and the time to explore the museum (with some interesting interactive exhibits) before being taken on the distillery tour. With so many distilleries to choose from, and the process being much the same in them all, it’s easy to think that one distillery visit is the same as another but we certainly came away feeling like we’d had a very different experience to most distillery tours. Definitely one to make time for either on your way to or from Aberfeldy. With particular thanks to Alex and George - consummate professionals clearly passionate about what they do. I’ve forgotten the name of our young guide (2.15pm Sat 29 Feb) but he was informative, entertaining and made sure everyone could hear and see and understand what the process of whisky making is all about. Great tour!

Part of our Rabbie's tour, this visit was very informative. Our guide had a great sense of humour and provided us great insights into the art of whisky making. There was also a short film on family history and a museum with exhibits.

On all  their bottles, a  truth knot is embossed as a symbol of strength and longevity .The mark reveals three interlocking D’s, representative of men who founded the company, John Dewar and his sons, John Alexander Dewar and Tommy Dewar. They are allowed to use 'Royal Coat of arms' on their bottles as they are purveyors to the royal household. The whisky is also Tagged 'Golden Dram', partly because of its honeyed color but also because gold deposits have been found in the Pitilie Burn, the water source for their distillery in central Scotland.

We got to know about angel's share, significance of Bourbon barrels for ageing and other trivia.

This was our first distillery experience and we enjoyed thoroughly alongwith the tastings at the end of the tour. The shop is well stocked and there is a cafe as well. Definitely recommended.

As whisky lovers me and my cousin really enjoyed the tour and the full experience during our recent visit. Our guide Dorothy was extremely knowledgeable and answered any and all questions that came her way. Obviously the most enjoyable part was the tasting! The 57.6 % 1999 was one of the best I’ve tasted. The museum was excellent also. Thoroughly recommend doing the experience and sampling the produce.

Good. Grand children, 14 and 16 years loved it especially the museum. The only thing that we thought was over the top were the sandwiches. £6.00 to £7.15 for ham and cheese. Not necessary. We only had a drink. Disappointing

We’re pleased to hear that your grandchildren enjoyed the visit and our Heritage Exhibition but we’re sorry to hear your thoughts on our sandwiches. We’re proud to use local ingredients for our menu – the ham in the sandwich that you mention, comes from Aberfeldy – all of our sandwiches are served with our homemade Dewar’s slaw and cous cous from Dow’s in Aberfeldy. We believe that for the quality of ingredients used, our menu represents good value for money but thank you for your review and feedback.
