The place was very good with nice variety of Dewar’s whiskies.

You start in the museum with IPads to scan for info which is great for kids.

This is followed by a tour of how they make their whiskey. Beware parts of it is quite smelly.

Tour ends with a tasting for a small drink.

While in Scotland we visited about five different distilleries this by far was our least favorite. First off they are known for blended Scotch so not really a single malt kind of place. The grounds are attractive in the tasting room is certainly nicely appointed but the tour was rushed and was not a big fan of the whiskey. I think you can be better served hating some of the smaller distilleries where you get a little more of an intimate and hands-on look at the process.

We’re glad that you found our grounds attractive and the tasting room nicely appointed but sorry to hear that you found the tour rushed and that you weren’t a fan of our whisky.
We are very proud of Dewar’s and our blending – without Dewar’s there would be no Aberfeldy Single Malt. Every tour of Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery includes a 45 minute tour of the distillery which makes our Aberfeldy single malt and covers the production process for making malt whisky. We would recommend a visit to Dewar’s Aberfeldy to both single malt and blended whisky drinkers as there is something here in Aberfeldy for everyone.
Thank you for your review.

Fantastic distillery. Welcoming great staff. Informative tour with unique tasting. Aberfeldy single malt and Dewars 12 blend both very nice. Located a few miles east of the beautiful Loch Tay. Well worth the visit. Still family owned by Bacardi family, as a result it still has personal touch unlike Diageo owned distilleries.

We visited Aberfeldy for a cask tasting tour. We liked the fact that the history of the company was covered in an interactive self guided tour. The distillery tour was guided by Adam who did a nice job of taking us through the process of making Whisky. Overall a very enjoyable hour or so.
