You can spend a pleasant afternoon here - browsing the books, admiring the art and eating in the café. There is even a sister shop selling items for your home which is worth a visit. If it is warm you can even sit outside and doze.

Brilliant bookshop in an attractive setting. Huge mix of books to browse. Lovely homeware shop next door. Clean loos. Good coffee, excellent homemade cake, efficient service. Nice sandwiches but thought they were a little overpriced. If you like a good bookshop and are in the area it is definitely worth a trip.

This is our third visit to Aberfeldy and our third visit to the Watermill. We look forward to browsing through the wonderful range of books and CDs in a relaxing environment; once again we were not disappointed this time. We had coffee and cake in the downstairs cafe: excellent. We could probably buy books cheaper from Amazon, but you can't beat browsing at the Watermill. We'll be back!

When we entered, we felt welcome and the place has a relaxed atmosphere.
We didn't buy anything on this occasion, but feel that if we come again, we would sample a coffee and cake.
Books, music and an art gallery.
A great place to go if it's wet or cold - or even if it's not!

This is a lovely little bookshop in a very unexpected location. Due to the quirkiness of the building there is a limit to the quantity of stock that this shop can carry but what is here is very well thought out, covers a wide spectrum of topics and is comfortably laid out.
Due to it's size this is a very easy bookshop to browse. In many ways the limited stock makes it easier to see what is available and to give proper time to considering items. Often in one of the big chain bookstores it becomes overwhelming and you are conscious of certain books being "pushed", here you can easily see everything and pay attention to each item.
Also a fabulous section of sheet music books.
It would also be a great shame to not leave enough time for a coffee & cake in their in-house café. Excellent homemade soups. A reasonable range of sandwiches/salads and delicious cakes.
Well worth a visit.
