We have just spent a very relaxing 3 nights in one of the s/catering I bedroom cottages. Very peaceful and comfortable, with easy walking distance into Aberfeldy. One thing I found a little annoying was the bathroom being downstairs and along the end of the hall, a nuisance if you have to get up in the night. The large walk in cupboards on the upstairs landing could have been put to better use as a small cloakroom loo. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening and found the service very pleasant, also the food and wine was good. The reception staff were also very pleasant and helpful. Didn't check out the bar, but after being out walking all day we just wanted to chill out with a book in the evenings. The duck chorus at 7am in the morning meant I didn't need an alarm! We would happily return for a couple of days.

we just had a wonderful wedding at moness and it was everything we hoped for. Although a small intimate family wedding we could not have felt more important if we were a party of hundreds !
special thanks to jean whos attention to detail ensured the venue was amazing ! the farragon suite looked beautiful both for the ceremony and the meal. Also like to thank james who put up with us all during the meal !
the hotel itself is gorgeous and the surrounding grounds were perfect for our photos. We stayed in room 19 which was lovely, and enough space for all the luggage, kilts and of course the dress ! The rest of our party stayed in the lodges, which both slept 6 and were clean, spacious and well stocked !
we had a truly wonderful day and couldnt have asked for a better venue and couldnt have had more friendly, helpful staff to make sure everything went so well !!
definately will be going back to moness !

I had to come on here & tell you all about this stunning country club. Situated in beautiful landscaped gardens. My partner & I had our civil partnership ceremony there a week ago, the staff were first class & could not have done enough for us.
The lodges are located all around the main building (which has swimming pool & beautician) & are tastefully furnished & spotlessly clean, we had a 2 bed lodge which had 1 en-suite, a bathroom with shower & another shower room downstairs
The meals are excellent & for such a prestigious highland retreat we thought excellent value for money.
Definitely returning as soon as.
A special thanks to Julie & her team, Jean James & Chris.

Me and my partner booked a room in the Moness Hotel Resort as a last minute break to get away from it all! We stayed for 3 nights on a room only basis.
Upon arrival, we were escorted to our room (No 22), which was lovely and clean, modernised and comfortable. The double bath in the bathroom was especially nice! The room was directly opposite the reception/pool area of the resort however was pleased to find that the noise level was non-existent.
We chose not to spend much time within the hotel amenities as when we did take the time to venture to the hotel terrace bar, we were greeted by a warm pint of beer, a flat lemonade and a load of screaming kids! Needless to say, one drink later, we left and headed to Aberfeldy town for a quiet drink in a peaceful location.
Overall, nice hotel and location, shame about the poor amenities that let this place down.

We stayed in a condo/self-catering unit reserved through RCI. RCI apparently had incorrect check-in dates, which they adjusted for, but seemingly did not get this information to the front desk staff. Check-in took a bit longer as the staff was confused as to why we weren't there on the date they had us coming in, and didn't seem to care when we offered the explanation.

The unit was clean and comfortable, although the room layout was a bit odd. No TV in the bedroom (downstairs from the living/kitchen areas) and bath was downstairs (ground level) as well. Kitchen had all necessary eqt. with the exception of electric coffee maker, but there is a French press and quick-hot-water appliance. Internet (not wireless) is available in the unit for a fee - you pay a certain amount (approx £6/3 hours) and the system tracks it until you use it up. We also weren't sure how much the additional fee for
electricity was going to be, but for the week we were there, it only came to about £5.

We did not eat in the restaurant, as we had the kitchen available, but we did eat in the bar, and thought the food was good. The resort renovations going on next to the main lodge did not bother us, as our unit was far enough away to avoid the noise.

Our biggest complaint was that the front desk staff was unhelpful - not quite rude, but they did not offer any ideas/tips/etc. and only gave one-word answers to our questions. Their attitude in general was that anything we needed or asked about was a bother to them. The rest of the staff - bar and housekeeping - were very friendly, always saying hello and
smiling. The front desk staff could take a lesson from them on customer relations.

The resort is an easy walk to the town of Aberfeldy, and a good central location for car/day trips around Scotland.

For an RCI Gold Crown property, this falls below those standards by quite a bit.

Good - receptionist very friendly, swimming pool quiet, layout and size of self catering lodges, little duck pond, parking near lodge.

OK - putting green, pool table, lounge bar area, internet access (£3/ hour) wifi only in bar

Awful - dirty stains on lodge carpet, builders furiously drilling around swimming pool, pubic hair in all the shower drains, no cleaning or sheets during your stay unless you pay extra.

My personal worst moment was when I realised that, dispite paying nearly £600 for 4 nights, they CHARGE EXTRA for the electricity you use in your room.

We spent 2 nights here to celebrate my 25th birthday and at departure we felt like it was a good hotel and value for money however we then travelled a little further north to Inverness and stayed the night there and in comparison we realise there was a lot of faults with this hotel.

First point for it being a Country Club Hotel there was minimal indoor activities on offer the pool table had a rip in the cloth (we were informed the snooker room was off limits only after asking though) and the table tennis was permanently occupied by children.

On arrival we were informed check in was 3pm after being told by their night porter the night prior that it was 2pm so our room wasn't ready which was ok we took a nice walk into Aberfeldy which was around 10 minutes away. The hotel phoned us to inform us our room was ready so when we got back to the hotel and was shown to our room we were impressed by the size of the room and the bath and shower were amazing, although we started to run a bath and after 5 minutes went back to check how it was and found the bathroom floor flooded as the water had started leaking from the pipe. I called reception to inform them and they sent 2 maintenance men which arrived quickly and resolved the problem, one thing which annoyed us was we got no apology from the hotel and no form of compensation.

We headed to the Terrace bar to order some food and was served by a slightly arrogant waiter who took our order of 2 soup of the day and 2 lasagnes. We didn't receive our soups thankfully as after the greasy lasagne which had obviously been microwaved we were full, however the chips were surprisingly delicious.

The breakfasts were very good and the young waiter (possibly from New Zealand) was a breath of fresh air in the morning. The breakfast room was slightly depressing and could do with a much needed makeover. We would of liked to take breakfast in our room but this would of cost an additional £10pp (for any room service) and from what we could tell in the guest info folder you could only get continental in your room.

On departure whilst waiting for nearly 5 minutes to be served one of the receptionists finally nudged the other to inform her to serve me as she was clearly engrossed in something more important.

As said before on arrival at our Inverness hotel it put everything for this hotel in perspective. If you are looking for a perfect stay in the North of Scotland i would highly recommend the Kingsmills Club Hotel & Spa our room there was £6 cheaper per night and the standards were WAY higher, the staff much nicer and better presented.

The town of Aberfeldy is gorgeous and the resort grounds are well kept. Our room was beautiful and warm but we will probably not stay here again.
