Staff were exceptional - could not do enough for us. Our room 27 was just perfect - the widest and most ornate bed I have ever seen! Beautiful smoked salmon for breakfast, I was in heaven. Look forward to our next stay, highly recommend this resort.

Room Tip: Recommend room 27

This is a lovely setting just a mile outside Aberfeldy. Our one bedroom lodge was very clean and comfortable. The swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room were attached to the restaurant and were well subscribed. The food was good without being special.
There are a number of attractions and walks in the surrounding area with the Birks Walk a must.

Room Tip: All units are located in a peaceful area.

We stayed at Moness Resort on a Groupon deal last week on a 2 day break in one of the cottages (Fladda) and had a lovely time.

The cottage consisted of an open plan living room, dining area and kitchen with a large bedroom and bathroom which was lovely and spacious. It had all the normal day to day appliances required with a fantastic view of the hills and forrests through french doors in the living room. The only negative for us was the decor and furniture was not the best and could be doing with an upgrade however we were only staying the 2 days so it didn't matter really.

The grounds are lovely, very quiet and peaceful with views of the hills and forrests. Our cottage was near the duck pond so we occasionally had visitors looking for food and we also fed the ducks at the pond with duck feed (grain) which can be bought at the reception for 50p a bag.

We used the pool facilities on the 2nd day which we found nice and relaxing. The steam room had lights which changed colours which was a nice touch.
The bar area was ok, not overly expensive (about the same price you would pay at a pub)not the largest as most of the tables are used for 'pub grub' style lunches and evening meals. There is also a restaurant downstairs which we ate at on the 2nd night and the food was very nice. The white chocolate cheesecake was awesome!!!

Like previous reviews regarding being charged for the electricity we also found this was penny pinching and although our total was barely over a pound, why bother, surely this should be covered in the price you pay for staying there.
Also, like ourselves, if you have booked a cottage which is self catering and you fancy eating breakfast one morning be warned it will cost you £12.50 per person!! After we found out the price we cancelled and ate elsewhere for much less.

Overall we enjoyed ourselves and would definitely visit Moness again in the future however I would only revisit at the price of the Groupon deal and not the normal price.
It is a relaxing place to stay with great surroundings and really has the potential to be even better if money is spent in the right areas.

We stayed on a groupon deal in June for my birthday treat. We upgraded on booking to a suite as there were no superior rooms available for the date we wanted. The suite was lovely and very spacious with a huge bathroom with corner bath and separate shower. My one complaint is the bed was like a brick, I like firm but that was like sleeping on concrete and I actually awoke with a sore back after the second night.

We ate in the restaurant the first evening and it was good and fairly quiet. We ate in the bar the second night and waited a very long time for our food and when it came my husband's was cold, I think they had forgotten about us as several people who came in after us had been served their food first. The location is beautiful and it is a good base for getting around perthshire. There are some lovely walks in the area. I would return again although the bed would put me off a little, I did speak to reception about it and she took a note of the room number.

The pool was small and the jacuzzi was a little weak, but was clean and pleasant after a long walk. I had a spa treatment which was lovely and about average price. There is room for improvement but good value for money on the groupon deals

Room Tip: if you like space the suites are lovely

Thank you for your review on Trip Advisor and for all our great feedback. Our bespoke beds normally receive positive feedback, however I'm sorry to read they caused you some concern. Im glad you enjoyed your meal on the first night and my apologies for any delay on your second night dining with us. I would kindly advise that our swimming pool does not have a jacuzzi, but a splash pool with seating. Thank you once again, I'm very glad to read that you enjoyed our wonderful location and that you would return to Moness.

As with many other reviews we purchased this on Groupon because of what we paid could not fault however if I had paid full price I would not expect to pay for electric or Internet.

Apart from that very good, lovely cottage, amazing bed, very clean and staff helpful. Lovely location. The facilities are excellent also very clean.

We didn't eat here so can't comment on the food. Would go back but on a deal as quite expensive for what it is.

We are just back after spending with 4 freinds a 2 night (Groupon break) at this Resort. couldnt give it a higher recommendation. From the initial booking to departure everything was excellent the friendly staff.although we did not partake in any activities or use the facilities both were available. we were in one of the lodges (Foxglove) on entry all the ladies gave the "WOW" factor 3 bedroooms all with superking beds and one en suite on the ground floor and suoper lounge kitchen with seperate dinning area on the second floor, Clenliness and facilities to 5 star standard.
However we all thought that there were a some little additions required.
The resturaunt meals seemed rather pricy and this was born out by the number of customers there. we looked and thought we would go down into town however as we were exploring the facailities we ended up having a drink in the bar overlooking the swimmimng pool. On checking the menu we noticed the meals were reasonably priced and booked a table I can tell you we were not dissapointed the meals were excellent.
We did feel that the resort lacked entertainment in fact there was none ( not everybody wants to watch football), not even back ground music in the ground floor bar.
And the televisions well comon lert get into the 21st century think they bought a job lot of old analogue tellys and digi boxes when the television area went digital. took minutes to figure out which remote did what ans wo betide you if you pressed the wrong remote in the middle of a programme.
And when we are mentioning the 21st century there are very few places now charging extortionate rates for wi fi conections in fact most are now free

Room Tip: Eat in the bar at the swimming pool Take you own pet TV engineer if you want to watch telly

Lovely setting, lovely place, lovely accommodation, but one or two slight gripes. Firstly the cigarette butts which littered the outside of our property, though I am happy to say that there was no trace, either sight or smell, of the cancer sticks themselves inside the property. The beds were very comfortable but Moses could have carved the Ten Commandments on the pillows. The spa was very good too, apart from the Jacuzzi which was useless. Those are not really the gripes though. We were charged for the electricity we used. Not a big deal, considering we ate in one night. It amounted to less than £2 for the two nights but for four star accommodation, you might have expected that to have been thrown in. I've kept the biggest gripe till last. They actually charge you for the password so you can use the Wi-Fi!! Why spoil it by being so penny-pinching Moness?
