We arrived after a torrential downpour with low expectations, but after checking in with the lovely staff and ordering our lunch, we stepped outside to meet and fed the Red Deer. What an experience, getting up close and learning all about these beautiful animals! Then we stepped inside and enjoyed our amazing burgers in the cafe (although I did feel a little guilty about my Venison burger :P). After Tommy our guide took us on a forest safari to show us the beautiful views from a local hill, He was very informative and entertaining. Highly recommended!

Amazing scenery. Shop/café and visitors centre could keep you entertained for a day on its own.

Thoroughly enjoyed the driving, although the intro is only for an hour and I could have happily done it for a whole day. The instructor Colin was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable.

Would go back, but for a longer stint next time.

This day out was a surprise for my husband's birthday. We had been before as a family (2 adults and two young chldren of 4 & 5) and had a great time. On our first visit we were taken on a highland safari tour with lots of information on route, together with a few stop offs for photo opportunities and a scout around for local wildlfe . Binoculars were supplied so we could see for miles. Our guide for the day Pete (who is now married and living in America) was fabulous with the kids and very knowledgable as long as we live we will never forget 'Larry the Larch' , 'Bruce the Spruce' and 'Dougie the Fir'. Afterwards we spent hours there, hand feeding the red deer, explored the wildlife garden, the playpark and had picnic in the lovely grounds. At the the time, my husband said he would love to go back and drive the landrover himself. Hence the return trip.

We arrived early, and I'm glad we did. It gave us an opportunity to have a chat with the friendly staff, browse the gift shop and make a few purchases for the children. As well as a visit to the homely cafe, where we sat by the log burner drinking hot cholcolate, eating homemade cakes and watched the birds fly around feasting on the feeders, strategically placed for our pleasure. Afterwards, we were taken outside to 3D map to be shown our route up the mountains.

Our guide for this trip was Colin, he drove us up to the side of the mountain, explaining driving techniques on the way. He then swapped seats with my husband, handing over the steering wheel. Colin's attentive coaching gave Alfy confidence and compounded his love for landrovers. We were lucky with the weather, in that we had four seasons in one day. This just added to the excitement of the trip.and spectacular views. On the way down we saw a few roe deer taking refuge in the woodland. We love the whole experience..

We're booked for a return trip to Moness Resort in May, with the children this time, and hope to pay another visit.

We booked our 'safari' online, we got a swift response to our initial enquiry and a nice email to confirm it. We got a very friendly welcome when we arrived and we were really impressed with the attractive array of reasonably priced items on sale in the shop. As we had plenty of time we decided to have some lunch in the lovely clean and inviting cafe. We were greeted by Julie, who I think is one of the owners of the business, a really lovely lady who took our order and made sure we got our food very quickly so we would be ready for our start time. The quiche was delicious and looked handmade as did all the gorgeous cakes etc also on sale. There was a lovely 'buzz' in the cafe and you could see outside to where lots of well organised activities were taking place - gold panning and feeding the red deer as well as children's play areas. We were met promptly at 1.30 by Colin, our guide and driver who first showed us where we were going on the 3D map before we piled into the land rover. The ride was exciting and interesting, Colin is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and is really good to listen to. We stopped at various points on the route to get out and had lots of photo opportunities but the best part was when we reached the top and walked to the bothy. The views were absolutely incredible and the sheer beauty of the landscape was breathtaking, it helped that the weather was perfect too. We had a short walk to a ridge where we could see as far as Ben Nevis it was so clear. We enjoyed our refreshments in the warmth of the bothy, the men in the group certainly liked their wee dram! I can honestly say that I have rarely enjoyed something so much as I did on this fantastic 'safari', thank you Colin, it was the perfect end to our holiday and I can't wait to do it again next year. If you are thinking about it, don't hesitate, just DO IT !

booked a mountain bike safari with a drop at the top so we wouldn't have to climb too many hills!. due to the recent weather we couldn't go where we originally planned. the guys at highland safari were great though and arranged to take us to a lower level glen. Andy gave us tips and places to watch out for which was great. had a great ride back to the lodge. would heartily recommend highland safaris and hope to visit again in the near future.
