My friend and I were traveling to see the Tomb of the Eagles (which was closed in October) and happened upon the Skerries Bistro by accident. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The owner greeted us and sat us near a window. We ordered the scallops as we were trying as many fish dishes as we could during our stay on the island. The food was fresh and the scallops were delicious! Three large (2"+ in diameter) were served with fried potatoes and fresh vegetables. The best meal we had on Orkney.
We were also treated to a tour of a newly discovered burial cairn in the parking lot. A must see also!!
