Centrally located in Stromness only 2 minutes from the ferry terminal. Spacious living area and excellent, fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable bedroom too.
The property has underfloor heating which works very well for those cooler Orcadian days!
The owners, Andy & Hilary, were very welcoming and hospitable.
Just around the corner from the must visit Hamnavoe Restaurant (incredible food!)
Great well appointed house 5 mins from Stromness harbour. Very comfortable for family of 4 & dog ( by arrangement). Very welcoming and friendly host who was nearby should you require any help with house, and or area. House was spotless and had everything you could want. Would definitely book here again. Thanks again Andy it was spot on!
Rare to find such a modern and well set up cottage right in the center of Stromness. It was great to be able to walk to shops and restaurants, but equally, parking in Church Road was so easy that we could nip into the car whenever we wanted to go further.
Generally pleased with our accommodation except the bed was too soft and bouncy!
We loved the island and would recommend all the archaeological sites including the tomb of the Eagles and the stuff on Rousay. Good to go when the St Magnus music festival is on and when the Ness excavations are happening (which we missed). Bring binoculars for the wildlife!
15 Church Street, is a delightful 2-bedroomed, all mod cons reconstructed semi that was once the home of a boat builder. It is situated very close to the Stromness Town hall and to the hotels where the Orkney Folk Festival takes place. Public parking is immediately outside in the street or in a park close by. No problem,, even during the festival. Andy, the owner, was very helpful, attentive and informative and lives close by. We had a grand time and would thoroughly recommend the property, its owner and picturesque Stromness for their hospitality. Orkney is a very special place; and they showed us the best of it.

Just returned from a stay in this cottage with my daughter - we had the most traumatic sea crossing from Aberdeen and arrived much later than expected due to the tail end of a hurricane which meant our arrival was much delayed. Found the cottage with no problem and were welcomed with the most amazing restoration - underfloor heating, everything you could need for a holiday rental - and although the owner was away for a few days - the most wonderful of welcomes. This cottage is in a great position within the town and the owner is more than helpful - everything is there to ensure a fantastic stay - I could not recommend it highly enough - the whole area, and the people, are wonderful. Spent our few days walking or travelling to Hoy and cannot wait to return.
If you are heading to this part of the word do not go past this cottage - we have stayed in many - yes the restoration was painful but it is a labour of love and deserves to be visited
