“Fantastic little cottage”

Couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay, The cottage is small but very comfortable and well equipped. The only thing missing as far as we were concerned was a filter coffee machine - we love our coffee! if we return to Shetland we will certainly seek to stay here again; the sea is literally just across the road; The Mousa boat is just 100 yards away - so you can go and see the storm petrels very easily. We saw dolphins whilst looking out of our bedroom window and had the time of our lives. Anyone going to Shetland in general should make sure that they take Thermos flasks with them - coffee shops and tea rooms are in short supply, except in Lerwick - but local to this cottage was the visitor Centre at Hoswick which does excellent coffee. The one great thing about Shetland is the friendliness of the people - they are not set up to cater for tourists but the warm welcome you get wherever you go is outstanding

Thankyou for your lovely review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and got to see the local wildlife and all that Shetland has to offer. I am sorry for the lack of a filter coffee maker but there is now one in place. It is nice to know what people would like on their stay and I am going to provide some Thermos flasks for future guests.
Thank you for staying with us and leaving the cottage so tidy.
Hope to see you again
