The room was clean and contemporary and the massive cushion on the bed that I initially had down as a gimmick, was actually really useful to lean against to sit comfortably for a bit of telly.

All mod cons in the room; tea and coffee, ironing board, and most importantly plenty of plug sockets, but none near the bed. Bathroom was clean and tidy and the rain shower a luxury at the end of the day.

I use room service quite a bit and a £5 tray fee was a bit steep compared to most. Didn't try out the restaurant or bar due to a short and busy trip but they looked well stocked and appealing.

The estate the hotel is on is well outside of Glasgow and is on a posh trading estate, so unless you've planned to do activities nearby there's not a lot to do in the surrounding area that I could see. It cost around £45 in a taxi fair from Glasgow airport to the hotel so it may be worth exploring alternative public transport if it's available.

Overall it was useful location for my work (on the estate) and the facilities and service were good.

Booked by the company we were contracting for. Out of town and difficult to find on our sat nav, first ended up on a housing estate and then we could see it from afar, but were unable to drive there. Eventually arrived after help from reception by calling them.
Lovely contemporary reception and bar area. Quite often the décor and finish does not go through to the bedrooms, however we were not disappointed.
Never ate as arrived very late and had to leave very early, but the restaurant and menu looked great.
Reception staff were great after a mix up with our booking (our party's fault, not theirs) and helped us sort it out.
I would love to come back and spend more time here rather than just a place to lay my head and run off!

Lovely place to catch up with friends over a coffee in very plush surroundings. There is a choice of seating areas but it can be very busy with business meetings etc. overall easy to get to and from and would recommend for a catch up

Anticipated this Hotel would be out on a business park but not knowing the area at the time of booking, was surprised to learn just how far away from other civilisation it was. Fine if you want to eat at the Hotel too but it was a bit pricey and not the style of food we wanted that evening.
I recognised the interior style as familiar and so learnt of its connection to Aviator (which is a stunning hotel).
The rooms here are lovely and modern, great style. A little surprised to find synthetic fabric sink rather than porcelain? But otherwise, lovely.
We ate at the restaurant attached to a Premier Inn some ten minutes drive away, which was pretty good, great value.
Breakfast wasnt included in our deal and we declined as it was pricey, not unexpectedly tho.
I think the lighting in the reception area could be upped somewhat. With the curtain that you have to go through from the outside doors, it gives the impression of entry to a nightclub rather than a Hotel...must be a nightmare for reception staff. Would I stay here again? certainly if I needed to be in that location but not just for the sake of the Hotel.

Room Tip: I can only say that we had rooms on the 2nd floor and they were perfectly fine.

My husband and I stayed at the Dakota for a week during the Commonwealth Games.( July 27th - August 3rd) An unfortunate accident meant that we needed to change to a disabled room. This was not a problem at all and the room provided me with all the facilities I needed. (one slight quibble was that the bathroom floor remained rather slippery when damp)
The hotel was perfect for our needs and the room provided us with excellent comfort. The bed was large and very comfortable with the best cushions ever! Towels and toiletries were of a high standard and house keeping was quick and efficient.
We ate at the hotel several times and thought the food was excellent.. Breakfasts are definitely to be recommended. Our only criticism is with regard to room service and service generally .We had room service twice, once at lunch and once in the evening and on both occasions there were very big errors. Service in the dining room and bar also tended to veer from super/too quick ...dinner, and quite slow.....bar. However, these are fairly minor niggles, and the staff were all friendly and helpful, even the lady who arrived at a disabled room with lunch, but without means of access!
Once we got used to the quirky lighting we loved the Dakota and would certainly recommend it. We look forward to staying there again.

Thank you for your feedback which was overall pleasing to read. The points you have highlighted has been shared with the relevant departments. We stayed for 1 night during the Commonwealth games. The hotel is still close to Glasgow but was not overpriced, as many Glasgow hotels were. The hotel is very trendy, like a New York loft. Staff were all really friendly. The cocktails were lovely. Getting fresh cookies delivered to your room was quite a novelty. I would highly recommend this hotel & will defo be returning.
