“very good chain hotel”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

As chain hotels go this one is very good. We found the staff very pleasant and helpful, the room large, clean and comfortable. Free Wi-Fi and all the facilities you would expect.

We arrived about 7pm on a Sunday evening and the carvery rush was in full swing but managed to get a table and enjoyed a fine car vary that was great value (£8.99)

Had a good nights sleep and availed ourselves of the cooked breakfast, the only thing to disappoint. Everything was a bit dry and had been left out too long but hey-ho you can't have everything.

Recommend :-)

Stayed at this hotel from 10/9/13 until 14/9/13. 4 nights in all. You go into the Carvery Resteurant next door to the hotel to check-in. And the manager issues you with your room card after he checks you are booked in there, which was fast. And at the end of your stay, you drop your room-card in a box at the main door of the hotel on your way out. No need to go back into the Carvery, to hand back room keys, which i found was very handy. Jump in the car and go.

I was in room 215, which was on the 2nd floor. And walking to my room I was really pleased how spotlessly clean the corridors were. Entered my room and it was pretty large and so was the en-suite. Flat screen T.V. with tea and coffee making facilities and a comfortable double bed. The room was spotlessly clean to may I add. On a few mornings on the way out, some of the room maids were busy cleaning rooms and when they seen you, they always gave you a big Hello. In my book that was really nice. They were all busy and happy at their work and still had time to say hello. Had breakfast every morning in the carvery next door to hotel. I up-graded to the cooked breakfast for £3.99 a morning and there was always plenty and well cooked to. I would like to say a big thank you to the waitress on the first 3 mornings i was there. She showed me were every thing was to eat and was really civil to talk to. I am just sorry i did not catch your name. Also Donald on Saturday very nice and pleasant and loved listening to him talking to the other guests while i was eating.

I used to stay at the Holiday Express next door, me and my late wife for 6 years when visiting family in Scotland. I don't think i will be back there it is over priced and breakfast in there can be a bit chaotic i remember. Not enough room to manoeuvre to get something to eat and for the size of that hotel 8 times out of 10 you never got a table to eat your breakfast, had to sit on a bar stool.

Well a big thank you to all the staff at the Innkeepers Lodge Strathclyde Park. I had a lovely stay and will see you all again soon.

Room Tip: Keep your window closed at night and you don't hear the traffic on the M74.

Stayed here before, had a great stay and if possible this time was even better! This place is so friendly and welcoming it makes you feel right at home. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Seen two different teams of housekeepers during my stay and each were brilliant! They really couldn't have done enough for us, extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. The Carvery next door has great food and even better desserts! Again, the staff are really friendly and helpful and are consistently checking to see if everything is alright for you! Will definitely be staying again when in the area and would highly recommend this little diamond in the rough!

Staying at the innkeepers lodge, Motherwell is a joy. Always kind amazing service, comfortable beds. Always a smile for a wearied traveler. My recent stay has just been completed aug 13, for 5 nights. It has the benefit of having Toby carvery adjoining, never fails to fill us up. Great for families, couples or singles this is a fantastic place to stay and kind to your wallet

Stayed here on 16th August 2013 as a halfway stop to the north east of Scotland for a holiday.Myself, wife &14 year old son had one room and my mother another. We all agreed the rooms were clean and comfortable, with good shower facilities.
Dinner in the Toby Carvery was good at a fair price.Breakfast in the morning, included in the room cost, is continental and a cooked breakfast costs an extra £3.99.Had the cooked myself and enjoyed it.Breakfast is brightened up by the presence of Donald who always had a smile on his face and nothing was a problem to him.
After a good nights sleep set off for our final destination fully refreshed.Totally recommend here for a stay.
