Went here for breakfast never been before , was shown to table by a man who asked if we had been before we said no . He said first time for everything then ! there is cereal and juice over there and hot buffet over there and tea and coffee over there .

All you can eat and drink ! Help yourself .

To be honest he was quite welcoming

So we helped our self to cooked breakfast and toast and had one cup of tea and a glass of cheap breakfast juice .

The guy behind service area made a stupid comment that you are only allowed one slice of bacon then said , I'm only joking ! at 9. 45 in morning you don't need this type of nonsense .

Place was full of hung over guys , toilets not the cleanest .

More like a canteen in a prison than restaurant

So after having a look at the menu we found the small print it states all you can eat break fast for £3.99
And tea and coffee £1.99 .

Fair enough .

The fact we were asked if we had been before and we said no he should have explained set up

Went to pay and was charged £11.57 , when I asked the girl why this was she said its £1.60 for the glass of juice it tells you that on the menu . I asked her to show me it and she could not point it out . I asked again and she said well it should be there . Point being it wasn't nor were we told this by the guy who showed us to our seat .

And never pointed it out . There set up is to think your getting a good deal but your not .

Could not believe previous review about charging extra £ 1.50 for large plate , joke !

It's not the £1.60 it's the principle off the whole set up and the attitude of the female staff member no customer service skills at all .

Avoid this place go to sainsburys in Hamilton better value , quality and service .

The food here is of good standard very reasonable , varied & tasty. Staff are friendly & obliging . Always very busy as it is so popular, whenever we are in the area we always use this restaraunt. No frills but always leave feeling satisfied. They do an excellent breakfast too which is freshly cooked & i highly recommend. Can't wait to be in Scotland again.

Went here tonight for dinner and we can honestly say it wasn't pleasant !! First of all when you go inside the heat hits you full on and with the weather being soo good it was very uncomfortable to say the least !! We're shown to our table and ordered drinks then went stood in the carvery queue for 10 -15 minutes . We opted for the larger plates so as our food wasn't all piled high ! Unbeknownst to us there's a £1.50 charge for the bigger plates each , got our food slapped onto plates like a dogs dinner ! Ugh put off straight away ! Went to table and found the food all cold as was the horrible gravy , my son who has Down's syndrome and loves his food hardly touched it , probably because it was soo hot in the place , my hubby ate his simply because he was soo hungry as was I and I was put off by the cold meat and veg , I complained to the manager only to be shrugged off with a half hearted apology !!! Not good enough!!! £40 for 3 plates of cold food and 3 drinks !! Absolute rip off !! Needless to say we won't be going back :( rubbish !!!!

We ate here when staying in the neighbouring hotel (although we discovered that they also offer rooms). The staff were very friendly and looked after us very well. The food was well cooked and tasty (how nice to see a whole turkey being carved) with a good selection of fresh vegetables and offered good value for money. The beer was good and the desserts enormous. As breakfast in the hotel was chaos with a room full of coach parties we returned for breakfast, which proved to be even better, with good quality sausages and bacon and was very reasonably priced.
