Appin is a very comfortable, tastefully decorated B&B in a beautiful setting. The owners are so welcoming, kind and thoughtful in their dealings with their guests. Nothing seemed too much trouble, to the extent of picking me up from the centre of Largs and driving me to the B&B when I arrived !
Breakfast was delicious, loads of choice and perfectly cooked.
The views across to Arran and Bute were amazing.
I had a lovely comfortable bed in a cosy room and with a spotlessly clean en suite shower room.

What an excellent find this is! Located on the Greenock side of Largs, this B&B is around 30 minutes walk from the town centre. However, bus stops both ways are located directly outside the front door.

There is plenty of parking which, frankly, is not always the case with other places in the town itself. Personally, I always find Largs taxi prices very reasonable so that's also an option if you don't want to walk or the weather isn't playing ball.

We had the front facing twin room that had a fantastic view across the water. The room was specious as was the ensuite shower room. There was the usual tea/coffee tray and a mini bottle cooling fridge in which you can store the fresh milk they give you. There are even chocolate biscuits to encourage you to nibble!

There are several chairs nd sofas at the front of the house outside and it would be a terrific place to perch with a glass of wine and watch the world sail by.

You decide when you want breakfast which is a welcome change and it is made freshly to order - one of the best breakfasts I've had in ages. No having to try and figure out what you might want the night before. Even better, you sit opposite each other sharing your own jugs of milk and juice and generous bowls of cereal and beautiful fresh fruit. It was delicious.

My only suggestion for improement would be to fit a blackout blind to the side window in the twin room as these early mornings meant that we were awakened at 4am! Such comfortable beds, though, that we managed to get back to sleep despite the light.

I thoroughly recommend the Appin - and we will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Two rooms face the sea so try for one of those to get those great views.

From the minute we arrived at Appin B&B, nothing was too much trouble. Breathtaking viewes. Immaculate gardens. Clean and comfortable room. Comfiest bed and pillows throughout the whole of our touring holiday. Breakfast outstanding and beautifully presented. Excellent value. Approx 20min walk into Largs town centre where there are plenty of places to eat and drink and also a lovely promenade to walk along and take in the views. Sandie and David were wonderful hosts. David recommended a restaurant in Largs called 'Room' where we enjoyed an evening meal. Strongly recommended. Wonderful visit and would go back again. Ann & Peter Manchester.

Room Tip: Speak direct to Sandie or David
