We stopped into Glen Grant just to tour the gardens on a beautiful afternoon, and ended up having a marvelous time. After roaming the exceedingly lovely grounds, including the rustic walkway and bridge over a rushing stream, we stopped back in the visitor center, where my husband was able to taste a few top-notch drams. He found them all to be uniquely well balanced and smooth. Of special note on the grounds is the log gazebo with an antler chandelier. It's a really a cool place to explore in Speyside and we highly recommend a stop here.

Wonderful tour, the video is a little campy, but fun. There is a wonderful garden which is worth the walk if time avails. The tasting room is recently remodeled and visitors get to pour their own taste.

There are many positive reviews about this distillery tour so we won't repeat the same things, but a few things we'd like to point out are:

- Glen Grant whiskey is not widely available (couldn't find it at duty free shops at Aberdeen or Gatwick airports) buy it while you are at the distillery as you'll also get a discount with your entrance ticket. We got 3 as we liked it so much and got discount on all of them!

- We cannot praise our tour guide Mike enough, his knowledge, friendliness, enthusiasm and wit made our tour thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you, Mike!

- The Victorian garden is a must visit too. Take time to enjoy it, pack a picnic if you can, and don't forget to walk all the way to the furthest corner of it, crossing small bridges over a stream along the way. The quietness and tranquility will help you unwind.

- It's a short drive from Elgin and the perfect place to visit before you hit the Cairngorms National Park. If you drive from Aberdeen, we also recommend driving along the amazing Banff Coast - breathtaking!

My first visit to a Distillery and it was all round a worthwhile one. I went with a coach trip so the choice of Distilleries to visit was down to the Coach Company. There was a £3.50 entrance charge which was very reasonable. We met in a very good newly opened location which was partly reception and partly tasting saloon. We were split into parties of 16 and taken in turn for a very informative tour by a young lady who was working during her University holidays......

The Distillery was very good to see & the tour gave us all the information concerning the production of whisky that one would want. The tasting was also excellent. We tasted 2 types of Whisky......you could pour your own amounts!!!!!!!

Afterwards we bought 2 bottles of whisky and were discounted on both...perhaps because we were a large series of groups going around.

I never had the chance to see the Gardens. Some of our party did go round the gardens & thought them excellent.

I would go back again & recommend it for its very informative tour, friendly staff and excellent whiskies...........

We went here after already visiting a number of distilleries. We decided to take the tour (what's another £3,50 anyways), but were a bit afraid of hearing the same thing we heard at the other ones as well. After all, whisky basics are the same at any distillery. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the new things we learned, both particularly for this distillery, but also about the general process. After the tour there was a nice tasting (2 drams instead of the promised 3, strange, but never mind) and an extra bonus of a stroll through the distillery gardens, which were beautifully kept, well designed and fully in bloom. This is worth a visit for anyone, even people who aren't whisky enthusiasts.
