We enjoyed a wonderful stay in Wee Lossie Cottage in October 2014. We travelled as a small family of two adults and a baby and the two up, two down accommodation was perfect for us.
We booked our short break very last minute and enjoyed outstanding customer service from Susan who very quickly and efficiently checked our requirements and processed our booking, emailing us full details of the accommodation and comprehensive instructions and directions. On the day of arrival we received a text confirming the accommodation was ready for our arrival.
On arrival at the cottage we were simply delighted with the high level of cleanliness, the fresh decor and the lovely welcome pack of essentials such as cereal, shortbread and plenty tea/coffee. On further inspection the cottage was more than fully equipped with everything you could need, with a fresh pint of milk in the fridge and thoughtful touches such as washing up liquid and plenty of toilet roll (commodities often scare in holiday accommodation).
The kitchen is very well equipped with all you might need for a self catering break. The microwave easily fits a baby bottle steriliser and there is plenty of cupboard and counter space.
The living room is pleasantly decorated and comfortable with all the usual mod cons, some DVDs and books.
The bathroom is spacious and 'hotely', with a nice powerful shower in a large cubicle.
Very pleasant bedroom with plenty of room under the eaves for a cot (mind your head!). The bed is very comfortable and quiet. Hairdryer and coat hangers are convenient too.
The heating is easy to figure out and very effective, although the boiler in the kitchen is a bit on the noisy side but not noticeable when kitchen door is closed (the dining table/chairs are in the living room so this really isn't a problem).
Fast, reliable, free Wi-Fi is a huge plus for us (the 'Three' 3G signal was non-existent all over the town and the telephone signal sketchy at best).
The cottage is perfectly located in Lossiemouth, close to both beaches, the esplanade and shops with lots of nice takeaways nearby for holiday eats. Recommend The Galley chippy on Clifton Road - best chips ever! We had no problem parking right outside the door of the cottage, a big plus when you're loaded up with baby paraphernalia.
In conclusion, a wonderful stay in the perfect home-from-home cottage which we would have no hesitation in highly recommending to couples and small families. The owner couldn't be more helpful and the customer service is great. We'll be back!
