We booked out the 3 rooms in this B&B for a family weekend. Although it states that it is a 4* I would not agree with this anyway, but my understanding is 50% of the rooms must be en-suite in order to have 4*..... only 1 of the 3 rooms had ensuite!
The house is lovely and was clean, but as a previous review has stated, it was very badly signed. The gate was awkward to open and stuck on the ground, but this is not a major issue really.
The house is full of personal photos and again although nothing major, i'd have thought these should really have been kept to private areas. There were 2 reception rooms plus the dining room. We were never informed that we were allowed to use either of the reception rooms.
There was no tea and coffee facilities in the room, which I see as a minimum requirement and although there was bottled water, it was not replaced on the 2nd day.
Breakfast was very nice. Tea and coffee and as much toast as we asked for, but this all had to be ordered the night before with a strict cut off of no later than 0900 for it to be served. After a good night out you often like to have a bit of a longer lie!
Overall it was a pleasant, but by no means superb. Again as a previous review has said, it looks like it is done to supplement income and almost appears an inconvenience to the owners as there didn't appear to be a passion from the owners for the place as a B&B as I have quite often seen from other B&B owners.
