The first place I have stayed where I saw a red stag in the garden!

Lovely old house which has been fully renovated, great lounge where you can relax in the day.

The castle suit is so super it’s amazing, has inspired us to do this on one of our house renovations.

Thanks so much to the team.

A lovely hotel and the hospitality was fantastic. Tea and cake on arrival was a lovely touch. The room was a bit on the small side but as we were only there for 1 night it was ok. Had we have been there for longer, it could have been a problem. The bed was really comfortable though. Lots of wardrobe and drawer space for longer stays as well. As the weather was so hot a small fan had been put in the room but could have done with something a little bit more powerful or bigger, but as I said the weather was unusually hot! Lovely bathroom with Arran Aromatics toiletries and spotlessly clean. The view was lovely overlooking the golf course and the deer came right up to the fence and one even came in the garden in the morning!! Great breakfast and overnight oats were lovely. We took some vegan butter and sausages for my daughter and they cooked them for her as well. We went to the Stags Pavilion for dinner on their recommendation and it was superb (book well in advance though as gets fully booked most nights). All in all we had a fantastic time and would certainly recommend Butt Lodge and will definitely be returning. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We did have difficulty finding the hotel as we missed the sign on our way from the ferry in Brodick (It is slightly hidden by a bush that we understand cannot be removed). However, once we arrived we were greeted by Hazel who offered us coffee and cake, something which is provided ever afternoon - lovely! We were then shown to our charming room which lacked nothing at all (except possibly a larger fan for the incredibly hot weather that Scotland was enjoying - I'm not complaining). Our bed was very comfortable and the room was impeccably clean with a lovely view.

Both Hazel and Alastair were very helpful with suggestions of where to go and I felt that nothing would be too much trouble for them.

Breakfast was really good but we were only there for two breakfasts so could not try everything, sadly.

There have been so many good reviews of Butt Lodge that there is little more I could add except I totally recommend it if you are in Arran.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and cannot wait to come back again. On arrival, we were warmly greeted by Alasdair who gave us a quick rundown of breakfast times, etc before showing us to our room. The room was clean, cosy and comfortable - what more could you want?
The breakfasts each morning were just what we needed and Hazel & Alasdair can even do some healthy overnight oats if you order them the day before - they were so good, that we had them twice over the holiday (unusual for us not to have a fry up every day!).
At 3pm each day, fresh coffee is served with cake (for free) which is a lovely touch. Unfortunately we only got this on the first day of our trip as we were out and about the other two days.
In terms of location, the hotel is a short walk into Lochranza and is an even shorter walk to the Stags Pavillion (great place for dinner - and BYOB which is a bonus!), and the Distillery (definitely worth a tour/tasting). Of course it wasn't until halfway through our holiday that we found out we could cut across the golf course (avoiding the deer!) to make the walk even shorter!
We will definitely return to Lochranza and will not hesitate to book into Butt Lodge again.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Wonderful location tucked away in an idyllic part of the island. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful.Comfortable rooms.Loved the eclectic mix of modern art and Scottish traditional furnishing. Our only regret was we didn’t book for longer!
