The only gluten free options were mass produced, pre wrapped cakes, which are ok but some home produced items would have been good. Unfortunately after this initial disappointment the coffee was terrible. The first cup was cold and replaced by a second cup which was also cold. Shop and cafe very expensive. The distillery tour may be worth a visit but go somewhere else for refreshments.

Great tour with excellent tasting of beautiful malt whisky. Loved the arran cream whisky gold liquer which will do down a treat at Christmas time.

It was a rainy Saturday in Arran, and what better to do with our time then visit the only whisky distillery on the island? (For now...)

The distillery itself is relatively easy to get to from Brodick via public transport, I think it was £3.00 for a single (and the bus gives change - delight!) Upon walking in, the atmosphere is very welcoming and this continued for the whole of our visit. A special mention to staff members Peter and Pam who were very friendly, knowledgeable and made our visit very memorable. It was also great to hear that the distillery remains independent.

Even if you don't like whisky that much, there is plenty about the tour and about the building/produce that will interest you! A definite recommend.

What a contrast this distillery visitor centre is to the Arran Brewery.
This place is a pleasure to visit. All the staff are clean, polite and professional.
Even people ( like us ) who don't drink whiskey can enjoy this professional operation.
Immaculate cafe and toilets.

It's got to be done! Did not disappoint and choice of malts afterwards exceptional. Recommend the 14 year old Single Malt ! Lochranza is also the ferry port from Clanaig and is an excellent introduction to the mini-Scotland that is Arran. We shall definiitely come back as 3 days is not enough. Good grub at the distillery restaurant.
