We went to the Glenisle for our honeymoon. We had a 3 day stay in their premier suite. Fabulous room with that wee bit more luxury. The roll too bath is great, just fill it up and lay back and relax watch the view over to holy isle.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, great open fires to sit by and enjoy a drink.
The staff are amazing, warm and friendly and always one step ahead of you. Nothing is too much trouble. They are a credit to the owners, they make it a pleasure to be there.
Now to the food, omg, we are now on a diet, chef is just amazing. There was nothing we didn't like, especially the raspberry brûlée that I just had to have 2 every night after dinner.
Can't recommend this hotel enough. We loved every minute and will definitely be returning for our anniversary.
Thanks to all who made our stay a memorable one xxx

I had a weekend break here, just to 'get away from it all'. The hotel is very tastefully designed and the communal areas are comfortable and welcoming. The room was lovely, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was very nice. Overall a great place to stay and I thoroughly recommend it !

Just home from a very relaxing stay at the Glenisle hotel. A very comfortable hotel, spotlessly clean with great food and extremly accomodating staff that are just quietly helpfull without being in your face. Big open fires and whiskey macks are the way to finish a day walking on this beautiful island. Thanks to all.

I have to admit that I’m more in the habit of reading rather than writing reviews, but felt that following our recent visit to the Glenisle I should correct this situation and contribute. We spent four days there recently in one of the rooms with fine views over towards Holy Isle. On one morning the conditions were right for viewing a spectacular sunrise over Holy Isle (I've added a photograph of this). The hotel itself is excellent throughout and our room was spotless with many supplied extras and a very comfortable bed. The public/dining areas had a pleasant layout and ambience. All the staff were very friendly and efficient, but at the same time also discreet. All meals were excellent with the venison in particular worth a mention. We noticed during our stay that there was much attention to detail throughout the operation; for example, the meals (both at breakfast and dinner) were always served on hot plates, something that is often not the case in many restaurants. Very highly recommended.

The service was welcoming, friendly and spotlessly clean. The food was excellent especially the raspberry brulee - never tasted anything quite like it . Staff were attentive without being intrusive. The views from the hotel are spectacular.Would definately stay again

We chose to stay here as the description of location sounded too good to be true. We were not disappointed, the location is stunning and the attention to detail in the refurbishment is second to none. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed more. We were given a very warm welcome on arrival and a personal tour of the place. Our room No.6 was on the side but we could still see the sea. The bathroom was spotless with big fluffy towels and an assortment of shampoo, soap etc. We ate in the restaurant and as I was not very hungry I asked to have a starter as my main course, this was no problem and the scallops were delicious as was the Clullen Skink my husband had, served in a deep dish with crusty bread. Breakfast again was delicious, we chose kippers which were pale and perfectly smoked served with wedges of lemon and loads of hot toast with which you can try the many jars of jam and gallons of tea. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble, we were made to feel special even though we were only there for one night.

Room Tip: They are all good.
