First trip to the island and we were very lucky with this great place to stay. The staff was wonderful and took great care of all our needs. They were all very friendly (Marty was exceptional). The breakfast in the morning is very decent compared to other places I have stayed at and eaten in England/Scotland. They were great in accomodating dietary needs. We also had the chance to have dinner and it was certainly one of the better meals we had on the island. The room that we stayed in had a great view overlooking Holy Isle and we were lucky with the weather (Splurge for the view)! The biggest thing was that it was clean!!!
The Lamlash Bay Hotel is also an ideal location because you're in the middle of the island. One day for the North of the island (visit the distellery) and one day South of the island (beaches are beautiful and if you're lucky you'll see seals). Of course hike up the mountain too!!! It was perfect!
We wanted to get away from the city life and really did enjoy ourselves! If we're ever to visit again we'll be sure to book at the Lamlash again!
---The only thing I'd say is that at night it does get chilly, the bathroom was the warmest place but ask for an electric heater and you're all set.
