Friendly family run hotel with a welcome bar! Neil, the landlord, has excellent stories from his role in the Arran Mountain Rescue Team and is happy to share them!
I have been going to Arran for 31 years and this is a favourite spot for a quick pint or if your really lucky a local knees up!

Have stayed at this hotel for several years and have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and roomy. The food is good pub food and it has a friendly bar used by the locals as well as a lounge bar. We always feel it is a family friendly place and good value for money. The hotel is in a good position overlooking the sea towards Largs and Ardrossan.

If you're looking for a five star spa resort with a minibar, sauna, jacuzzi and decor in the latest style off Changing Rooms then this isn't the hotel for you. What you do get is a clean room, helpful staff (I was nursing a knee injury and they were happy to keep my ice-pack in their freezer), a selection of local ales on draught in the bar and a very good breakfast in the morning, and at a price that won't break the bank. I'd definitely go back.

After our wedding in Corrie on the Saturday, we'd invited all of our guests to the Corrie Hotel the following day for a relaxed drink or three. Thankfully the weather was fair and we had use of the huge beer garden across the road. Inside, the lounge was packed with people and the staff were attentive to the constant stream of orders while also looking after the bar customers next door.

We had booked some food (pie and beans!) in advance, which went down a treat! Bar meals were available throughout the day and some people enjoyed great quality food (to go along with their pints). The party carried on long into the night and everyone made use of the large lounge, and the jukebox and pool table next door. Eventually the party called it a night and people headed back to Brodick and elsewhere.

We stayed in a family room, which had a comfortable double bed and single bed in an adjoining room. Nice views across to the mainland (on a clear day of course). There was a sink with fresh towels in the room, and a large communal bathroom located down the hallway.

Breakfast was plentiful and there was a good menu to choose from. After a few Arran ales from the night before I was happy to be presented with a good Scottish breakfast, with cereal, juice and coffee/tea options.

Overall, the hotel is in an excellent and beautiful location, with great staff and value for money rooms. The bedrooms might not imitate the Ritz but why would you need that when stopping-off between hillwalking, cycling, etc on the island?

Had a brilliant stay here - staff extremely helpful, and accommodating with mealtimes if we were running short of time after coming off the hills. Room was very clean, and the food was brilliant, both bar meals and breakfasts. The hotel has its quirks, but that all adds to the charm - don't know what some people expect for £25 a night. Good value, lovely people and an idyllic spot.
