Very disappointed that brambles closed for two nights to allow functions...very poor quality lunch and expensive....as an owner this is not acceptable ...insects in my salad....poor taste ....and I was still expected to pay ...really not acceptable..

Dear george m

Thank you for your feedback on Brambles, and I am sorry you did not manage dinner on the 2 evenings. We very rarely close Brambles for functions any more (we have stopped taking summer weddings altogether), however we had a large party who had booked out the entire Spa Resort and Brambles was the only venue that could cater for them. The lunch issue should not have happened and should have been dealt with better at the time, and I apologise for that.
Could you get back in touch direct to tell me what lodge and week number you own at the country club .

Best regards,

Richard (General Manager)

A lovely resort with all facilities. Unfortunately it was raining for the two days we were there . The food in the hotel was very good and the rooms well appointed. The hotel arranged for us to see Brodick castle , Aran Aromatics and generally drive around the island.

Auchrannie resort is lovely, used the sauna, steam room and swimming pool all very clean and very nice. We also used Brambles restaurant I had mussel starter they were delicious but the sirloin steak and pepper sauce at over £26 it wasn't the nicest steak I've had. Was a bit disappointed! My husband had the soup and seafood platter he loved it. Our room was lovely but please put summer duvets on the beds ours was far too heavy for August, mattress a little hard for me but that's just my preference. Complimentary water and milk in fridge is a nice touch but our milk was out of date and sour phoned reception it was replaced in a few minutes. I also didn't like the coffee bags they used in the room but the little bottles of Arran aromatics in the bathroom were lovely. Staff were very nice I will be going back with friends for our Christmas night out will take my own coffee.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay with 2 dogs and an 11 yr old. We stayed in the Spa Resort Hotel. The room was of a good standard and very clean with plenty of tea/coffee/milk, etc and was cleaned every day. There were lovely guest lounge areas and a small kitchen area with microwave, ice machine and washing machine. We had breakfast in the Cruize bar which was excellent and well worth the money. We also ate in here every night and the food was excellent too. The staff in all areas of the hotel were more than helpful and friendly. We used the leisure facilities which were great and overall we were more than impressed with our stay. Maybe £20 per night for 2 dogs was a little excessive, although it was nice for them to be welcomed into the hotel. Overall our stay here exceeded our expectations and we have booked to return.

We had a great time at the Auchrannie Spa resort.Food was great, although lunch menu could still go for lighter options,ie more salads or toasties. All the staff were brilliant except the class instructor of the only class that was decent.Considering we were the only two of 7 who obviously werent locals in the class the female instructor and a n other who appeared to be or had been many years ago an instructor were not friendly at all.I have been a member of various gyms for the last 20 years so luckily knew what I was doing no thanks to the instructor who didnt ask if we had done classes before or had any injuries. How a class can have no atmosphere is beyond me.
Also think there is a lack of classes on the timetable and the times of the few classes fit in more with locals rather than guests.Ie no early classes or around 4-5 oclock. No HiiT classes either.

Dear Ella2208

Thank you for taking the time to review Auchrannie following your stay and I am glad you enjoyed your time with us. I am sorry you felt the class lacked atmosphere and was not so welcoming. We have a new instructor who is still settling in and a little nervous – please be assured this is not the norm at our classes. I hope we will see you again in future.
