“Week stay”
Reviewed June 23, 2018 for a stay in June 2018

We’ve just returned okay from our stay. The cottage was lovely, spacious, scrupulously clean with all equipment needed etc. The rooms were spacious and the enclosed garden was appreciated for our dog. Excellent shower to double bedroom. Good walks to be had roundabout and just a short drive into Brodick or a 20-25 minute walk. Recommend visiting Ormidale hotel for evening meals - excellent.

“Spacious, well-presented and comfortable.”
Reviewed July 2, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Mallards Cottage is one of a number of self-catering cottages discreetly set by a small burn in a quiet wooded estate. Geoffrey the host is attentive at all points of the booking process. The exterior of the cottage is pleasant and low key. The interior is comfortable, very clean and carefully furnished and decorated; it is particularly spacious with a large living-dining area, separate kitchen and two bedrooms. The two bathrooms are up-to-date (one has a splendid cabinet shower) and the kitchen appliances work well. Free wi-fi is a much appreciated bonus. I feel however that the property is let down by the poor quality of the cutlery and cooking utensils.

We have just spent a week in Bluebird Cottage this was made available to us when our booking was mismanaged by holidaylettings. The owners bent over backwards to make the accommodation ready for us.The cottage was just perfect for us .Light spacious and elegant. It is warm and comfortable .There has been a lot of thought put into the design and layout of the cottage. This attention to detail is apparent in all aspects of this hotel and it's cottages.Dining in the hotel is a real treat.Impeccable service and delicious food. The sun shone the whole time but even if it hadn't the cottage would be just as perfect.A lucky find for us and we look forward to making a return visit.Just magical.!!!

“Feels like home.”

Really clean and comfortable, feels like it's secluded, yet only a few minutes from the centre of Brodick.

Decor was great, cottage was spotless, everything was included down to sandwich bags, tea bags, milk and a bottle of wine.

All we needed was the weather to go with it, and we were lucky enough to get sunshine all week :)
