We stayed in the House Hotel which was beautiful. The decor very traditional but in keeping with the building. A lovely warm reception area with open fire (you may need to fight to get the best seats here :-). Hotel room beautifully decorated, with warm colours which no-one could be offended by. The rooms have own iron/board, tea/coffee facilities, fridge with fresh bottled water daily. Lovely fresh towels and towelling robes. We had two wonderful nights sleep with no disturbance from other guests. First night we took evening meal in the 1869 restaurant which was lovely and the staff so kind and helpful (food cooked to perfection). Second night, evening meal taken in the Spa Resort in the Cruize bar brasserie which is very trendy and an elegant style...a good choice of informal foods, pizza, fish and chips (which was amazing and enough to feed four people). A great place if you have children as they have Playstation area etc...Prices for the drink and food where a few pounds cheaper in the Cruize bar than the House Hotel, but we were there to enjoy ourselves and not penny pinch :-).

The location was ideal, 1 mile from the Ferry Terminal, so even if you do not have a car, you could walk, or try a cab and be at the resort in under 5mins. We also tried the Local Arran cheese factory...truely scrumptious cheese. Next door to cheese factory is Arran Aromatics...the smells out of this world. A good place to visit is the local Arran brewery...you can have a wee nosy for a couple of pounds and try a wee sample or two. The Arran distillary is a must for Malt lovers, this was 13miles from Auchrannie (Lochranza) but certainly worth the drive. We had the distillary all to ourselves and found this to be excellent. I would recommend Auchrannie to everyone. We had the deal with the hotel, whereby you get the ferry crossing, B&B with £20.00 evening meal voucher, per person per night and free access to the leisure facilities. It was quite sad to leave as we could have spent a lot longer than 2/3 days there.. We can only imagine how beautiful Arran will be in the summer. We will definiately be back again - very soon. Last but not least, all the staff in the hotel were exceptional and very kind, which can make all the difference.

What a great weekend. The hotel was great and the food at Cruize excellent. The staff were lovely and it was a very relaxing break. They even left a wee present for my hubby's birthday in the room which was a lovely touch. The pool facilities at both the Hotel and Spa are also excellent.

Everyone took time and care to make sure our stay was a very high standard.
Food in Criuze, Brambles (Agm members dinner) 1869 restaurant.
So come on all lodge members if you havent joined the fun this weekend every year to come next year, in fact go over before then and try out the facilities for your self and take someone over to share the experience. The offers that are available is enough to encourage us go over for that ' special meal'

Went there for a weekend break and was delighted with what we found. Great food, spa facilities are good, although swimming pool was a bit dark. Only thing I would say is couples should stay in hotel as the other part is more family based.

We're just back from a 2 night stay at Auchrannie, and although we had heard good reviews, we were still impressed. We booked a suite in the house hotel, which was lovely - very spacious. Only (very minor) criticism is that the bathroom could perhaps do with some modernisation, but that said it was very clean, with a good powerful shower, and would certainly not deter me from returning. We ate both nights in 1869 (Brambles was closed during our stay and throughout winter I believe), and it was really outstanding. The staff in every area could not be nicer, and I also had a really great massage in the spa.

If you're looking for a relaxing weekend, with nice food and nice spa/leisure facilities, then this is the way foward. I will go back soon if I can!

Took advantage of a special offer deal at the Auchrannie. Had the Tasting Menu, was easily the best meal I have ever tasted.

The Auchrannie is an little bit of absolute luxury, highly recommended.

Myself and my family are regular visitors to the island of Arran and the Auchrannie Country House and Spa resort. The Spa is particularly good for families. Very comfortable, well equipped rooms. Both hotels are in lovely surroundings and the location is great for getting around the island. The Spa has a terrific pool and a good sized baby pool as well as the sauna and steam room which is great if you get the chance for some me time. There is so much to do for families and if you like some excitement, Arran adventure is based within the grounds of the hotel and offers so many brilliant activities. Gorge walking is a must!
My husband and I had two days at the Spa resort. We had a great informal meal in the Cruize restaurant on the friday night and a spectacular meal at the Eighteen69 restaurant in the country house on the Sat night. The staff were lovely, extremely attentive and the food was the best meal we have had in a long time. We would highly recommend both hotels to families and couples alike. You won't be disappointed.
