“Friendly and welcoming staff”
Reviewed April 4, 2014

Due to ferry problems we arrived very late (1.45am), but we received such a lovely, warm welcome the stress and frustrations of the day immediately disappeared. The leisure facilities are excellent. There is something at Auchrannie for everyone. Without exception every member of staff was friendly, attentive and obviously wanted us to enjoy and make the most of our short stay. We will definitely be back. 'Beware....Auchrannie is addictive'!

We booked in for a couple of nights,we have been here before so we knew what to expect. Again we stayed in the old main hotel which is probably the best option if you don't have any kids.
The location is good the facilities are first class and the staff and food are top notch.
The only minor gripes I have is that, can you please light the coal fires the reception bar area in the old hotel as it is just too cold. The landscape directly outside from the Brambles restaurant requires attention, these are minor gripes but hopefully positive feedback. Apart from these two issues I will recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Room Tip: Choose a top floor as the floor boards are a bit creaky in the old Hotel

Booked a weekend stay in the house hotel at Auchrannie with the 'Buddies' deal - very good value dinner B&B offer. Had a terrible time getting to Arran with CalMac but that's another story...! Picked up from the boat by the hotel's minibus. Welcome at the hotel was nice and shown straight to our room. Booked a superior room and were very impressed - large bedroom and bathroom with small sitting room area.
Had dinner in the first night in Brambles restaurant, great service from the team and impressed with the food. Breakfast both mornings was lovely with a nice selection of hot offerings, would recommend the pancakes. We had dinner in Eighteen69 on the second night. It is Scottish tapas, an interesting offer. We were told that plates would arrive as they were ready and that ended up being rather quick for us. Within about 15 minutes our table was full and I felt a bit overwhelmed. The food was nice but I think I would have preferred an a la carte option. The manager did ask for our feedback after the meal and we were honest, it was good to be asked. Danniel and Rosie were great in the restaurant and bar.
We used the pool and facilities on the Saturday, it was a little annoying that it was closed between midday and 4pm (I think those times are right) but we got in just after 4pm and it wasn't that busy. Sauna and steam room great too.
I would highly recommend the house hotel and hope we can return soon.

Room Tip: Superior room was worth the extra, nice to have the living room area to use too.

We enjoyed a fantastic 3 nights at the Auchrannie. A lovely room, great food, friendly and welcoming staff and an open fire to enjoy a drink front of. Spa facilities were also excellent. We'll be back

Spent a weekend here in March 2014 with the wife for her birthday and the kids left at home!

From reception to departure the staff always did their best to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Rooms, food and faciliites were excellent and good value fo rmoney. We ate in the Brabmble restaurant on the first night and had an excellent meal. The only very minor negative point was the hotel pool not being open until 4 on the Saturday.

The island itself is amazing and would recommend it and the hotel to anyone for a visit.

Auchrannie is such a lovely spot to stay on Arran. It can be quiet or busy, you can work out or simply chill out, whatever mood you're in you'll find somewhere to satisfy your desires. Arrive stressed, go home relaxed. Planning my next trip to Arran already.

i cannot fault the experience my wife and i had at the Auchrannie resort, Arran. From location, to room standard, food, service, and value for money!! We will be visiting again, sooner rather than later!!!

Room Tip: room 25 in the old hotel was quiet and very well furnished albeit a smaller twin room!!!
