We visit regulary and this visit was disappointing, the breakfast in brambles is terrile , the food was not cooked properly, the bacon had white residue on it proving it was not cooked the whole breakfast was cold and very unappetising, we left after complaining , they did appologise but we feel this was not good enough, this should have not happened . overall extremely dissapointing

Thanks for your review and I was sorry to read that your breakfast did not meet with our usual high standards, and that you were not satisfied with our initial apology. I agree that this should not have happened, and as we take guest comments seriously, I have passed your comments onto the Brambles team. We do hope that you will return in future.

Just back from a 3 night stay ( Fri to Sun)at the Auchrannie house hotel with my wife, and i can't praise it highly enough. I booked an executive double and received a free upgrade to a suite on arrival which was a very pleasant surprise. The check in was quick and efficient and all of staff that we dealt with were helpful, welcoming and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble for them.
The room was equipped to a very high standard, huge and extremely comfortable king size bed, quality furnishings, large flat screen TV in bedroom and another in the living room area, which was also equipped to a high standard, fresh fruit on arrival, Nespresso coffee maker, remote control radio with Ipod dock. There were additional tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom, fridge restocked with bottled water each day.
The bathroom kept up the high standard of fixtures and fittings, with rain shower and a double bath (confirmed large enough for two people).
The house hotel has its own leisure facilities, gym, Sauna pool, steam room etc the facilities in the spa resort are newer and a bit better but they tend to be busier with more families and young children, so if you are travelling without kids then the house hotel is a better option.
We sampled 2 of the 3 restaurants on site, the 3rd 1869 was closed for re-furbishment, of the remaining 2, Brambles in the house hotel is the best standard however there is not much between it and Cruise in the spa resort. The food on offer is to a very high standard, no cocktail list but the bar staff can rustle up anything you like from memory, a special mention here for Jack and his Long Island iced tea's
The hotel is only 5 minutes drive from the Ferry terminal, but the hotel has its own courtesy bus to pick you up if required.

We stayed over the valentines weekend so the hotel was busy but the service never suffered in anyway and we had a fantastic time, so i cant wait to go back later in the year.

A fantastic hotel for couples and families alike and with a good location on the Island it is an excellent base for everything that Arran has to offer.

Just returned from a 3 day break at the Auchrannie Hotel as part of a groupon deal and have nothing but praise for hotel and staff. Stayed in the house hotel and upon arrival found reception staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful as we had never been before. Room was brilliant (small double) with a fab view looking onto the hills. Leisure facilities were great, spa was fantastic- would definitely recommend. Brambles and Cruize restaurants both great but thought that Brambles dinner was much better. Shuttle bus service from ferry to hotel was very good also, made life a lot easier with luggage. Hotel is 10 mins walk from Brodick itself, so a nice walk into town. Overall a fantastic stay and we are looking forward to returning.

My Husband and I stayed at the Auchrannie Resort on 13th February for 1 night and it was fantastic. We were picked up by the hotels Courtesy Minibus at Brodick port and taken straight to the hotel. We were quickly and efficiently checked in and given lots of helpful information about the resort and the local area. We were also shown to our room. The room was a great size, lots of storage and the rainfall shower in the bathroom was fabulous.
We used the Leisure facilities in the Spa resort and they were great - a large swimming pool, childrens pool, foot spas, sauna and a steam room.
We had lunch and dinner in the Cruize Brasserie. The service and the food were excellent.
The staff are a real credit to Auchrannie.
I would highly recommend Auchrannie to everyone.

This is a lovely hotel, very warm and cosy on a wet winter's day and nice restaurants too. The rooms are well decorated and the lounge area and real fire are fantastic. ................................

I work for the British Red Cross as a first aid trainer, I was sent to the isle of Arran to do a F/A course, the course was held in Auchrannie Spa resort & I was also staying there for a few days, this was my second visit to this place & I can honestly say it was amazing, the people from managers to the domestic staff were as friendly & professional as I have seen, the views from my bedroom were stunning, food was of a high quality, bedroom was spotless & of a high standard, catering for the course was excellent, spacious room, tea & coffee with biscuits & fruit provided with lunch at dinner time, after the course I had many options to choose from, swimming, bowling, walking, spa, fishing, shopping& three excellent restaurants to choose from.
All in all I had a fantastic time at this hotel/spa where it really was work, rest, & play.
If you are looking for a change of scenery this is really the place to visit,

Room Tip: Just a visit to this resort its really worth it, AMAZING.

Stayed for two nights early February, went with friends, had a great time. Auchrannie is fab they have thought of everything beautifully furnished cosy rooms with fridge, Arran aromatic toiletries, robes, there are even Auchrannie golf umbrellas to keep you dry when your out and about if it rains. Stayed in the house hotel but dined in cruize for breakfast and dinner, loved the food and the layed back atmosphere, they also serve breakfast till 11am in cruize so you don't have to get up early if you don't want to. Will definetly be back
