The hotel is in the perfect location, a very short walk to the ferry terminal and in amongst the restaurants and shops of Brodick.
Room 1 was really comfortable, had great facilities and a lovely view of the bay.
Pat was the perfect host, providing us with information when we needed it, was very accommodating, welcoming and gave us a great breakfast to start the day!
I have been going to the Isle of Arran all my life and me and my family have recently needed to acquire new accommodation - i will be recommending Rothwell Lodge to them all, all year round.

We stayed one night in room 1. The room is very large, immaculately clean (as is the entire house) and extremely comfortable. Excellent location, minutes from ferry and a central location in Brodick, but situated in a quiet road. The breakfast was excellent, beautifully served and cooked to perfection with plenty of choice. Pat the owner is very friendly and helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend this guest house.

Great bed & breakfast very handy for the ferry. Pat is the perfect host and is happy to help with any queries. Highly recommended. Despite the rain we found plenty to do on Arran. The distillery is a must do visit if it rains.

This is a great place to stay in Arran. The accommodation was wonderful and the landlady is really helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious with a separate sitting area that was for our exclusive use as was the lovely bathroom. Our landlady seemed genuinely interested in us and what we were doing in Arran which added to the pleasure of our stay The breakfast was fantastic. The price was very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend it.

Room Tip: We had the upstairs room which was great. Although not strictly ensuite the bathroom is for exclusiv...

My wife and I stumbled upon this gem by accident. We normally stay at Auchrannie on our Arran visits but they were fully booked. Not having used self catering or B & B accommodation for years we were unsure what to expect. We needn't have worried. We were warmly welcomed on arrival by Pat the owner. Pat gave us a guided tour of our suite. We were in the self catering apartment which has a spacious lounge area, kitchen, separate bedroom, bathroom, large entrance hall & plenty of cupboards for storage. The apartment is finished to a very high standard and is spotlessly clean. The attention to detail is commendable - Digital TV, Radio, CD/DVD, I Pod Dock, wireless internet in fact much more than you could expect in a top hotel. We slept soundly in a very comfortable bed with plenty pillows and top quality bedding. Even the bathroom would not look out of place in a city boutique hotel - it's kitted with bath, power shower, sink, WC etc all with modern & clean fittings - great water pressure too ! The kitchen area is modern, clean & fitted with every possible extra.
Rothwell Lodge is a relatively new building and is very well situated just off the main road in Brodick centre - just round the corner from the shops banks, restaurants and sea front. Parking is easy with off road parking at the front of the property. The upper rooms at the lodge have excellent sea views.
We were so impressed that we booked another break straight away. This time we're opting for Room 1 on a B & B basis - so we can sample Pat's breakfasts which have been getting rave reviews ! I would highly recommend Rothwell Lodge. The combination of clean accommodation to the highest standards with the added benefit of a friendly, knowledgeable & attentive host makes for a very relaxing & enjoyable holiday. Robert & Jean

We have stayed at Rothwell Lodge on several occasions over the past 15 months or so when visiting Arran and every time we have stayed we have had a lovely warm welcome from Pat and have never been dissappointed. The breakfast is excellent and the accommodation is always warm, even in the coldest Arran weather, and spotless. We enjoy our visits very much and will keep going back.. Such a lovely view from the sea view lounge and a lovely room to relax in.

I spent 7 wonderful nights at Rothwell Lodge.
On arrival I was welcomed by Patricia (Pat) the owner, the welcome was warm and friendly.
I was shown to my room room 1 a double on the second floor.
The room was more like a suite you have your double bed and an area with a settee where you can sit and relax.
There is also a relaxer chair.
I slept well at night as it is very peaceful no noise, the bed was comfortable with quality bedding which made for a good nights sleep.
The view is good you can see the sea.
Tv with dvd was available with a good selection of dvds, the tv also had freeview.
Wifi was available with no signal issues.
Tea, coffee, hot chocolate with biscuits was supplied and replenished regularly.
There was a good selection of books to read.
The bathroom was just beside your room a good warm power shower with toiletries supplied.
The towels were of a good quality and soft.
The breakfasts were outstanding you have a choice from continental to a full cooked breakfast, the choices are good.
Pat is a good cook and the portions are good which set you up for the day.
Tea, coffee, fruit juice and toast is supplied.
The room rate was reasonable for what you get you would pay more in another establishment.
Pat is friendly and welcoming and is there if you need any help or assistance.
Pat has a lovely home everything is clean and the furnishings are top quality.
I would highly recommend this b and b friendly, welcoming, immaculate, where you are well looked after.

Room Tip: Room 1 is more like a suite you have it all to yourself nothing is shared.
