This Boutique Hotel, is large in friendliness, cleanliness, professionalism and good food. Location great as from there you can easily go left or right to tour round lovely Arran. There is only a small comfy seating area, but most of the guests and visitors enjoyed being in the Bar area. We and our friends had Executive rooms which were very spacious. One downside was lightening dull, and extra lamp didn't quite do it. Weather was disappointing but when the sun appeared the beauty of Arran shone through. Keep up the good work folks.

Room Tip: Rm 111 great but near either A/C noise or Laundry room. Rm 107 had no noise, the smaller bathroom easier to heat, views of Ferry Terminal.

Food was good. Prices a bit inflated, captive market as it's opposite ferry terminal. Staff could have been a bit friendlier and acknowledged you whilst waiting in a queue at the bar. It's a busy place though.

Nice hotel, good service with all the attributes of a class hotel. Food excellent and there are choices for my wife and I who are gluten free, not by choice but due to being coeliac. This brings me to the point of complementary biscuits left for guests in the bedroom. They were in a sealed jar and were obviously home baked. As we’d booked in as gluten free, we could have assumed that they’d been made for us. Our previous B&B had done this. However I checked with reception and found not so. Had we eaten these we would have been extremely ill. Can I politely suggest to management that it is very important when knowing guests have registered with a gluten free requirement care is taken when allocating a room. This is a general problem with most hotels who place ordinary complementary biscuits in the room but usually as these are packaged and obviously not gluten free it’s just inconvenient. When going the extra mile like the hotel obviously did but not thinking it through for certain guests could result in serious consequences.
Thank you

We stayed here for two nights as part of a trip round Scottish islands. The hotel is good, apparent recent refurbished. We ate in at their restaurant one evening and the food was good - though waiter lacked product knowledge!
Hotel's location close to the ferry terminal and with views across the bay is excellent.
