My wife and I stayed and dinned at the newly refurbished Douglas Hotel on beautiful Arran and we loved it. The hotel has been rebuilt to create 21 gorgeous, individually designed rooms most of which has breath taking views across Brodick Bay to Goat Fell. Our room was on the second floor, fashionably decorated in grey and green and beautifully appointed with fab furniture. We dined in the exquisite ground floor restaurant where we were attentively served by an enthusiastic and helpful staff. I had the chateaubriand which was cooked to perfection and served imaginatively on a table hook, my wife had delicious fresh fish. Breakfast the next morning was also a delight utilizing great local produce imaginatively.
This hotel is a great addition to the Scottish hotel scene, the rooms are wonderful, the views breathtaking and the food fabulous. Simply the best hotel on the Scottish islands.More
