“Lovely Food a welcome”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

This is a great place to eat and drink. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the food was great. The owners also own the Wineport in Arran and we met some of the staff there when we were there later in the week. We were remembered and staff took an interest in our opinion and what we were doing on Arran.

“Good food buts things they can improve”
Reviewed April 4, 2013 via mobile

I recently enjoyed a meal here with my girlfriend and had an enjoyable evening with good food. The waiting staff were attentive yet discreet. Things to improve would be:
- better beer selection. Why not sell a selection of arran ales as they use other local ingredients in the food.
- menus needed on tables as is an annoyance having to leave the table to choose your food
Apart from this they offer some of the best food available on arran

“Always terrific”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

We've eaten here several times a year for 12+ years and never, ever been disappointed, nor have we ever witnessed the rudeness that other reviewers have mentioned from the owner. Quite the contrary - I have found him extremely pleasant and very helpful. The food is lovely. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for - lots of local ingredients, well presented, portions generous. Looking forward to our next visit in the summer! This is by far my favourite place to eat on the island, and on an island with a lot of good places to eat that is praise indeed.

“Excellent food - a consistently good restaurant”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

We always make a point of eating here on our visits to Arran. Of all the restaurants on the island, the Brodick Bar wins for consistently good food. The choice & quality are excellent and the staff friendly & welcoming
