This is a quiet time on the Island but the food and service was very good and friendly. The menu has a large variety of dishes and is good for families as well as fine dining. An extensive wine list with very reasonably priced house wines.

We had dinner here the first night we got to Arran, on the B and B owner's advice, and had a lovely meal, choosing a goat's cheese pizza , and a delicious duck dish, from a very eclectic menu. The desserts were fabulous, so leave room for them!

We just stopped here for a drink during the evening and it was really nice. Very pretty bar and friendly staff.

We stumbled across this place, tired and hungry. The lunch special has 2 courses and a drink for £12.50. The black pudding was delicious and the egg poached to perfection. The squid and prawn tempura was perfect. Excellent chips, and a very successful brownie to follow. ( i had the starter, my wife had the dessert.) Friendly prompt service. Looks like a haunt of locals, as the staff and owner were amiably chatting with some customers as with well known pals. Not open on Sundays, possibly because it's just across the street from the Free Church.
