what a fantastic experience. 2 families 4 kids 12yrs - 7yrs.
you get all the kit you need - wet suits, footwear buoyancy aids and helmets. you leave your gear at the office and take 20 min mini bus north up the island. instructor was great with everyone. encouraging and challenging individuals as appropriate. great laugh getting fitted out, even better in the river. its cold but fun. last leaps were challenge. recommended as a must for any adventure living families or groups.

These guys were great. One of our guides was incredibly knowledgeable of the area and island and allowed us great insights which otherwise we would have missed. I did a day long hike with this company into an area seldom visited by others. consequently, we saw no other hikers for the whole day which was fantastic. While many say the Isle of Arran is beautiful, I found it's denuded hills a little bare and off-putting. Nonetheless, there was so much low cloud on the day we hiked we couldn't see further than 50 m in any direction for most of the day. If you go, expect to get wet and be cold. But go anyway!

We booked the "Gorge Scrambling" last week. It was our first experience with such an activity. The water was very cold but it was a lot of fun! Allan was a perfect guide, he even took a lot of photos from my girlfriend and me sitting in the cold water with our camera ;-)

Disadvantage: No showers are available

Not the most confident, but Callum was an excellent teacher instilling confidence. The Holy Isle trip is highly recommended.

We were all wet. cold and tired, but still had a great time kayaking in the sea. Totally loved it. I guess experience would be even better in good weather, but you can't take it for granted in Western Scotland. Went straight into the hot swimming pool afterwards.
