Had a great lasagne and drinks late afternoon on the terrace at Felicity's after a friends round of golf and my walk on the beach. This must be one of the best golf course views anywhere with stunning scenery across to Kintyre. Friendly young staff who gave a warm welcome to our dog (sat outside) providing a water bowl without asking. Much appreciated. Good mix of ages so obviously all welcome, golfers or not.could sit and look for hours just relaxing here.

Arran's clubhouses are open to the public for morning coffees, lunches etc. Felicity's restaurant at Shiskine Golf Club is one of them. Here you get the most friendly welcome followed by some wonderful food. The menu is extensive and varied from full meals to delicious home baking. Lunch is served until 4.00pm which makes things so much easier for tourists to this fabulous island as you can take your time seal watching, walking, or just enjoying the fantastic scenery safe in the knowledge that an excellent lunch is still available at Felicity's until 4.00pm . The restaurant is above the beach and the views are stunning. Definitely NOT one to miss on your visit to Arran.

Had a family meal at Felicity's and was not disappointed. Started with the Black Pudding Bacon and Apple Salad. Wow , it was fabulous. Other shad various salads and the really nice touch from the serving staff was to warn us that the normal starter portion was large, so , because we had ordered a main course as well, they would reduce the starter size (it was still very ample by the way) and reduce the charge. Great touch, thanks.
I then had the fish and chips , crunchy spicy batter. Brilliant. I also asked for well done chips which they were. Very fritesque and another super touch.

It's BYOB too, which was superb and at a little over £14 a head for all nine of us, it was a fabulous time bargain!

Don't miss it. Thanks Felicity and staff.

We were lucky to be visiting on an amazingly sunny day in late September, so we saw Blackwaterfoot at it's very best. The view across to Kintyre from the terrace is stunning, and it was nice to view it in peace with some great coffee and cake. Inside is modern and cosy, and no doubt somewhere great to hole up on a less than perfect weather day.
