“good hotel, but don't stay on karaoke night”
Reviewed November 14, 2013 via mobile

great staff, clean large room. Hard to find without GPS, but worth the stay.
as we did not want to drive to Edinburgh, the train station was a 15 min
walk. great RLS "kidnapped" atmosphere. View of bridges and outdoor
deck in summer. Pub was good, except for KAREOKE night which lasts
Till midnight.

The location of this hotel is great, as it is just located under the Forth Road Bridge. The rooms are clean, and the food, including breakfast and other meals, are very good. I booked the room with free breakfast included, and the breakfast was great. The staff gave us (a couple plus two children) a warm welcome and was very friendly.

Room Tip: The second floor may be a little noisy, as there is a bar downstairs.

Great get away for a night-

Rooms- clean, modern and great view from the family room. If your soft like me can be chilly as its an old building but they will put the heating on and get you an electric radiator

Bar- locals are sound enough and used to tourists appearing. It's a proper old school s ottomh bar with wood floors and wooden pew seats.

Food- well priced and simple, most important it's home made which added to it

Staff/ owners- lovely couple and couldn't do enough to help

Great place and reasonable money, location is ideal for many places around the east of Scotland if your sight seeing

Room Tip: Ask for room 5, fantastic views!

Popped in for tea, coffee and cake on a recent trip to North Queensferry. The location is great, the staff were lovely but the premises weren't so inviting (the carpet going down to the bathrooms looked like it should have been thrown out years ago) and the food and coffee was distinctly average.

Maybe OK for a pint whilst looking out to the bridge, but wouldn't recommend it for tea/coffee.

I arrived at Edinburgh airport at 2330, the hotel is 20 mins and the staff stayed up for me and my 2 children to arrive, we had a warm welcome and shown to our room. What an awesome view from our window, the forth rail bridge all lit up, despite being very tired I didn't close the curtains and had a great sleep in a very comfortable bed. The children had a metal action sofa bed. The lady in morning was very friendly, I had the best breakfast ever, sausage, bacon, egg, beans, mushrooms ,haggis, black pudding, tatty scone- pure dead brilliant ! there was also cereal available and lighter breakfasts, and any drink preferred. Brilliant views, excellent staff thanks very much for our stay.

Location- 2 minutes from the Forth Road Bridge, a fantastic location to nip in and out of the Edinburgh Festival. For quiet time away from the busy city North Queensferry is an absolute delight to explore and the hotel is right on the water edge.

Room- Honestly can't find a fault... as frequent travellers it's one of the best we've had the pleasure to stay in across all the UK. Spotlessly clean and a great size; it had tea/coffee making facilities, flat screen tv, iron & board. Furniture contemporary with a traditional Scottish feel. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept like a log. INCREDIBLE views, I could see the Fourth Rail Bridge from the bedroom window and the Forth Road from the bathroom..... Amazing! see the pictures!

Train noise- seriously didn't bother us, we left the window open and slept straight through the early trains. When the window was closed we could barely hear any noise at all.

Food- Breakfast, no complaints a selection of cereals and a wide variety of teas on offer. Cooked breakfast set us up for the day. We dined each morning looking out on the spectacular view of the Fourth Rail Bridge. They do food all day so we ate one late afternoon at the hotel and the meal was excellent value and tasty.

Staff- Great service from start to finish, couldn't do enough for us..I left my phone charger behind which the Cathy the manager kindly posted on to me the next day.

So good will be back before the end of the festival...

Called in for a bar meal. Girl who served us was great and very polite. However the Steak Pie was so bad. The steak was the toughest I've ever been served and the veg was very hard and cold. This should be taken off the menu.
