Taken to The Wee Restaurant by friends and loved it. It is situated almost under the Forth Bridge and in sight of the two road bridges. The food just out of this world and beautifully presented. The service very good and pleasantly done. Definitely fully recommended.

It is a while since we visited as we always found the menu too limited and as it was usually very busy, it was always too noisy making conversation difficult. Well the menu has changed with a much better choice, and it was a much quieter evening so we were able to converse.
Welcome was apathetic, not at all warm. Took 20 minutes to take a drinks order, and 30 minutes before the food order was taken, but then the service was at an appropriate speed. Two portions of mussels were well received. Two portions of cold hot smoked salmon were dry and disappointing. Main courses were well presented, and enjoyed, apart from the potatoes with the chicken boudin which clearly had chorizo in them, though this was not mentioned on the menu - i hate chorizo. The cheese platters were small and very disappointing, not the quality, but the selection. Three hard cheeses and lanark blue.
The absence of a warm welcoming personality is noticeable and very much needed.

Enjoyed a very pleasant midweek meal with Australian cousin at the Wee Restaurant. Location under the Forth Bridges with new road bridge open was appreciated by visitor. Walk outside and smell the sea. Service was attentive and welcoming. Food tasty and well presented. For a Midweek evening the restaurant was busy, a testament to the venue and quality of the food. We'll be back.

Three of us had lunch recently; all our dishes were good, as was the service. The restaurant was quiet, bright and airy.
Nice village for post-prandial wander.

Excellent meal, scallops and mussels well cooked. Delicious pork. Amazing selection of biscuits and cheese. Perfect! Waitresses were very friendly and professional. Will definitely be recommending and wish we lived closer.
