“Good Time”
Reviewed September 9, 2007

The only drawback about this tour is you cant have any jack. The museum is great and informative. You basically browse around there while you wait on your tour. There were TONS of people there but the tours are average size. The history of jack is very interesting and this is actually well worth the free admission!

“2 adults & 2 teenagers - a must see”
Reviewed July 21, 2007

My family visited the distillery on 7/17 and we had a blast. It was me and my husband, my son (15) and my nephew (16).

There is a lot of walking and climbing stairs which we don't have a problem with but some of the other visitors did.

I think the tour guide can really enhance your experience and we had a great one. The boys are still talking about Sammy.

We went into town and bought some tshirts, whiskey cakes, etc. At the distillery each person receives a coupon for a free shot glass with a $5 purchase at one of the stores downtown. You can leave your vehicle parked at the distillery and walk across a small bridge to get there.

Definitely look in all of the stores before buying. It's a great experience - only second to rafting on the Ocoee.

“JAck Daniels Distillery tour..”
Reviewed June 17, 2007

This tour was free, and a very good tour. Free Lemonade and Coffee at the end of the tour ,and also a group tour photo is taken and placed on the distillerys website for you to print off if you want.
And you can buy a special edition bottle of Jack Daniels ,in the gift shop at the end of the tour. Despite the distillery being in a dry-county. But they do not sell on Sundays....Very nice visitor center. Free parking, and the grounds are beautiful, and the smell is great if you are a fan of Jack Daniels.
There is a Jack Daniels restaurant nearby Ms Mary Bobos but you have to make a resevation in advance to eat there.

“Great Tour”
Reviewed May 7, 2007

We toured the Jack Daniels Distillery in April 2007. The tour guide was great (his name was Sammie). The tour was very infomative and even though I don't drink Jack Daniels I had a great time. I would highly recommend this tour when in the area (Admission is free). Also while in Lynchburg, make sure to check of the historic shopping district to get some great souvenirs.
