While on vacation to Nashville, my wife and I decided to go a little far afield and visit the Jack Daniel Distillery. The property, set in town and throughout the local forest, is beautiful, inviting, and mostly accessible for those with disabilities.

Wanting the Angel’s Share Tour, we were at first disappointed to find out it involved nearly 200 stairs, which would be troublesome for my wife. The staff offers a “modified” tour for those requiring mobility aids, so we opted for that.

We met with our tour guide, Ron, and he immediately put our small group at ease. He was friendly, funny, and engaging, and quite knowledgeable about the history and process of the facility and it’s principals.

Towards the end of our tour, we were able to sample five different products, and Ron’s expertise shined through, offering insight and wisdom.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and would recommend it to everyone. But, next time we come, we’re asking for Ron again!

We visited JD distillery with a group of friends and it was fantastic. I don’t see much reason to leave Nashville during our trip except if it’s for touring Jack Daniels. It’s well worth the 1.5 hour drive. Our tour guide Ron was possibly the best tour guide I’ve had for anything anywhere. Don’t miss out and ask for Ron. The nature around the distillery is amazing and the grounds are beautiful and the tour is actually very entertaining and informative. Enjoy good old Tennessee whisky

This was a gift to hubby as he loves his JD. He wasn’t disappointed and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Ashley was fabulous and her accent made us want to listen to her for hours. Our only disappointment was it was maintenance time and lunch time for distilling and bottling so we didn’t see everything but this didn’t spoil our visit. The tasting experience was great fun and gave us a small taste of all the flavours. Even I tried some and I don’t like any whiskey . Highly recommend this tour. Staff are all polite and friendly too. It’s professionally organised and you can choose to buy or not buy the products at the end.

No trip to Tennessee is complete without a visit to Lynchburg's Jack Daniels distillery. Took the flight of Jack tour and got a education on the what makes JD the best. Our tour guide Ron was funny and knowledgeable. He even looked like some one you could see cooking "Shine" in the back hills. Really seemed to enjoy giving the tour and proud of the JD products.
