Struggled to find a hotel near my meeting in buckhaven and took a chance on this place and came up trumps . In the most idyllic village the location is wonderful . Rooms clean and fresh with all you need , makes a change from the premier inn !! . Give it a whirl

We made an almost last minute booking to this hotel. Misunderstanding the adress we started out looking for the hotel in the wrong village. A little bit stressed up we finally found the hotel, it was worth looking for. It lies at a nice square in a beautiful little village. The service were fine and the room was small but totally okey. The breakfast was also served in a friendly way and tasting excellent.

Visited Maspie Den in Falkland where there are some lovely walks and great for dogs. After our walk we went to The Covenanter Hotel for lunch. We had a table outside because we had the dogs and were made to feel very welcome.
They offered to get water for our dogs. Great choice of food on the menu, certainly a bit different from usual pub grub.
Would recommend the steak pie and the chips are home made, not the usual frozen offering. Found the prices to be
very reasonable given the standard of food offered. Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone visiting
Falkland.

We had just visited Falkland Palace, and across the road we went for lunch. We sat in the sun in this delightful little town, had a pint and a cheese platter, which was served by a very cheery lady. Just what we asked for. My only observation, was that the inside of the hotel had obviously been modernised at some point and I suspect that a lot of the original character had been lost.

Went to the Covenanter with my friends for supper as we meet up every six weeks to have a catch up with each other..
We were running ten minutes late due to work commitments and arrived at 7.40pm... The atmosphere was lovely with music playing and candles burning.... We had dipping bread for starters and our main course was good enough, we all had sweets and it was after that around 9.30pm that lights were being put off around the kitchen area, the candles had burnt out and at 9.40pm the music stopped, we had not been asked if we would like a coffee which we all would always have and felt we were being pushed out...didn't feel comfortable and made welcome at this point, we decided to just pay the bill and go to the Stag down the road for our coffee which we did and it was lovely and made very welcome....we left at 9.50pm and on leaving I asked when they close and the lady told me it was when the last customer left....I would not go back due to this experience, also it got a bit cold during the end...I am in the hospitality trade myself and hope I never make anyone feel that they are not made most welcome...

We've recently spent one night at this place (only, unfortunately), and we were very happy with it.
Our room was the "Bruce room", one of obviously three in the main building; it is large enough, nicely decorated, the bathroom is rather big, you get all the usual tea- and coffee-making facilities, and there's really nothing to complain . Some parts could do with a renewal (rusty metal in the shower), but that's nothing really.
Uppon arrival we also booked a table for dinner, and were surprised with the quality of the food.
Staff was very friendly throughout our entire stay, despite quite a busy evening with lots of guests. If you're into whisky: get one at the bar! There's not really a big choice, but they're all decent and very, very cheap.

A wonderful friendly and helpful welcome as we were shown to our accommodation.....the self contained apartment attached to the Covenanter Hotel! Everything was just as we required for our week long visit! We ate at the Hotel Restaurant on two evenings and we were presented with wonderful cuisine on each occasion.....both the owner and his assistant being excellent chefs....and the variety and creativity of dishes available on the menu was second to none!

WE HOPE TO RETURN ASAP

Room Tip: We had opted for the self catering apartment!
