Went to see Falkland Palace but didn't realise it is closed till late March. Our time wasn't wasted as we decided to have lunch while we were there. Although there are number of eateries in Falkland we decided to lunch at The Bruce Inn which is situated directly across from the Palace. It was a good decision as the food was excellent. On the tables were a selection of trivia questions to help pass the time while we were waiting for our food ( didn't have to wait long ). We kept changing the trivia from table to table. The has a great history and has loads of character

Room Tip: mistake with sleep quality as we didn't stay here over night

Absolutely Brilliant! We were much later arriving at "The Bruce" than expected as we were held up on the M6. Owner called to check that we were OK and waited up specially for us. We had a Lovely Family room with extra space for Our Two Dogs... and Two Children!! Breakfast was AMAZING. Couldn't have asked for Any More.
GREAT Value and Lovely view of Falkland Palace from our room too.
Just about to book again for our next visit!! :)

We arrived late Sunday evening at the Bruce Inn, where the owners waited up for us, was made very welcomed despite the late arrival, my room was great warm and charming.
They put themselves out for us for breakfast as we had to be at work for 08.00,the breakfast offered and choice was excellent.
Monday night was a takeaway service,as there restaurant wasn't open till Tuesday, but the portions and food was excellent. Evening meals in the restaurant were also great value and again good portions.
Rooms were clean and beds made daily.
As a contractor and tourist I would return to this B&B without hesitation.
Thoroughly recommend.

Would have no hesitation to return.
Great value for money.
The evening meals in the restaurant gave good choice, were very generous and good value.
Would recommend.

Lovely quaint pub. With great pub grub. Best mac cheese I've had in a long time. Lovely crisp chips and great fresh salad to accompany meals.

My husband had the vegi burger (yes we are vegetarians) and he was pleased with it and especially liked the accompanying crisp opinion rings.

This is our second stay at this Inn as before the food was excellent and the locals make you feel like one of there own. We were lucky to have a lovely large room just to ourselves which was warm and comfortable. As before nothing was too much trouble and if you feel like a walk to work off the wonderful breakfast ask the locals and stroll through the Falkland estate you will love the scenery and wonderful woods and birdlife. Already looking forward to our return in the summer when we hope to be staying longer.
