“Fantastic!”

Much more than a normal B and B. Fantastic rooms which are comfortable, very clean and homely. Liana made us feel so welcome and the food was of a very high standard. The location is beautiful and we will definitely be staying again and recommending Wester Dura to others.

It is really encouraging to hear our guests highly recommend us.

My food philosophy is to provide guests with food which I would happily enjoy myself- .( Except mushrooms- those of you who know me, know me that's one food which I don't like and neither do our chicken.

Don't leave it until the next big birthday to return.

Quiet, warm, comfortable room with every nicety you could want (tea, coffee, sweets, magazines) in a charming, well maintained farmhouse located in picturesque fields. Very friendly and helpful host. Amazing breakfast with lots of choices many of which come from the farm itself.

Thank you for your review.

I hope your trip home all went the plan and we look forward to offering more warm friendly Scottish hospitality next time you are in the UK.

Our garden provides us and our guests with a selection of healthy foods including soft fruits and at this time of year, apples and plums. Our happy cheeky chickens provide our eggs and a bit of guest entertainment.

Best wishes to you both and with the forthcoming wedding plans.

We had booked with another B&B which then closed, however they recommended Wester Dura. What a piece of luck,
Liana was a great hostess, making us feel very much at home. The room was of a high quality with the kind of accessories that we'd expect in a good hotel.
We stayed so that we could eat at The Peat Inn which was about a 10 minute taxi/bus journey away and cost £3.80pp return (about the price it costs to step into a city cab).
Breakfast was excellent and it was nice to share a table and chat to other guests.
Highly recommended.

Thank you for your kind words.

We are always slightly nervous when taking guests who have originally booked elsewhere and are very pleased that you enjoyed our accommodation.

We have a number of guests who stay with us due to our proximity to the Peat Inn and our handy flexi taxi/ bus service.

With best wishes

Liana

Spent 2 nights here whilst visiting family nearby, wish it had been for longer.
First impressions were good, Liana made us feel so welcome from the booking stage, arriving and during our stay.
The location is beautiful surrounded by countryside and only 1.5 miles from Cupar.
Our en suite room was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable with a large kingsize bed and plenty of storage space and lots of fluffy towels. Lovely views over the garden and fields. It was so peaceful at night too.
Breakfasts were excellent and filling, so much choice, really enjoyed the Arbroath smokies and the homemade fruit compote and jam. Another nice touch was having fresh milk to use in our room for a cup of tea, so much nicer than the pots.
Hoping to stay in Moatville for a week next summer and would highly recommend a stay in the B&B.

Thank you for your lovely review.

We are glad you share our love of our location, peaceful at night but with Cupar town with its train station and restaurants just down the road.

Plastic milks- I hate them too. The fridge is appreciated by many guests for chilled Scottish water, fresh milk, the odd cold chocolate bar or wine cooler sleeve or just ice.

Moatville is located on a quiet residential street just off Cupar town centre and I am sure you will enjoy it too next summer. The walled garden faces south and is a sun trap. If you book on a self service breakfast option- Arbroath smokies can be available.

Looking forward to welcoming you again in 2014.

Could not have wanted or expected more. We were visiting St Andrews for a family wedding and needed somewhere to stay but unfortunately it clashed with a major golfing event so accommodation in St Andrews was fully booked. I contacted Wester Dura looking for B&B and whilst the B&B was full Liana suggested that their self catering cottage may suit.
Liana provided with supplies for breakfast (as well as tea and biscuits on arrival) - bacon, eggs, cereal, bread. On returning from the wedding Liana had been in and left further supplies (with instructions) for the following morning - black pudding, haggis, mushrooms, tomatos, eggs, bacon, crossiants as well as freshly stewed apples.
It was perfect accommodation, clean tidy, with all requirements catered for (including those we had not thought of) with really comfy beds.
i can not thank Liana enough for tailoring the weekend to suit our requirements perfectly - nothing was too much trouble.

Thank you so much for your kind words, glad we were able to accommodate your group on a very busy weekend.

Thank you also for your feedback during your stay- I have now put instructions for the shower. (I did remember the instructions for the haggis- and hope you enjoyed)

We would love to accommodate you again and I am sure you will love the refurbished dining room. I was frantically painting today before this weekends guests came in.

With warm wishes, Liana

Have just spent 5 days in Moatville, which is a self-contained ground floor of a house in Cupar, owned by Liana from Wester Dura. Nice and spacious for 4 adults and in a quiet road a few minutes from the town centre. Showerroom and kitchen look as though they have been recently refurbished and are very nice. Large rooms, all comfortably furnished and very clean and well presented, Wi-fi included which was appreciated. Food was supplied for breakfasts which was of a high standard and in copious quantities! Liana went to great effort to provide some Gluten-free foods as requested.

Firstly thank you for taking the time to review our new venture and for your feedback.

We have owned Moatville for 3 months and so far have renewed the kitchen and shower room.
During the quieter winter months I have plans to fully remodel the dining room and continue to generally upgrade to a similar standard to Wester Dura.

We like to offer our guests a good selection of foods and are happy to cater for special diets. Fife is a great area for local foods and we are glad you were able to explore it.

Best wishes- will post pictures of house on Facebook as refurbishment progresses.

Room was very cosy, very clean and very quiet. Bedding excellent and soft thick towels. Breakfast was excellent as well as dinner. This B&B is for all those who would like to live in a cottage in the English countryside. Patio and garden are very neat complete with solarium. Liana and her family are very warm and you really feel like you are part of the family. Liana also leaves loads of sweet treats near tea and coffee making facilities just to spoil you even further, if this is possible. Great B&B and i feel its my home away from home. Will be back
