The head gardener was very knowledgable on all the plants. Very relaxing garden. Situated in a nice location.

“Lovely cafe, lovely house and grounds.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2012

Didn't visit the lovely house this time as we have done so several times already. Did have morning coffee in the cafe. Nice ambience with Edwardian style decor and music. Excellent tiffin and scones with brambles and almond - still warm. Lunch menu looks good. Good, friendly service. Then climbed the hill behind the house and had excellent 360 degrees view over Fife and beyond. Gardens lovely. Always worth a visit. Parking £3.00 for those who are not National Trust members.

Really had a sense of it being someone's home, especially since all furnishings were original to building.Gardens so peaceful and tea-room served good food, not overpriced.
