We stayed for a long weekend in the Kingfisher lodge last year and enjoyed it so much we booked for a week in May this year, yet again we had a fantastic time, the lodges are so comfortable and cater for your every need, hot tub just fab at night after long walks with our dog Kai, saw Erin again but Kai unfortunately was jealous so poor Erin didn't come walkies with us this year. The scenery is beautiful and as we stayed in the Woodpecker this year the deer were right up at the fence and it was beautiful to wake up to and sit outside with morning tea and watch the deer & wildlife, bliss. Lots to see and do around Cupar and beyond, St. Andrews, Dundee etc.. Thanks again for a fantastic week at Balmeadowside, we have already booked another week for August, can't wait!

The weather has been beautiful over the last week and the deer are becoming increasingly friendly!

Look forward to seeing you in August!

Excellent stay in Rowan Tree Cottage. Peace and a perfect setting with wildlife on the doorstep. Enjoyed seeing the deer at the kitchen window.... have never filled the dishwasher and been watched by a deer! We saw a fox each evening and we had some great walks around the farm. Our dog really enjoyed all the smells! Highland cows, sheep and beautiful swans on the pond. The cottage was well equipped... nice touches like hot choc, tea, coffee, cleaning products etc even though we had brought our own. Super king sleigh bed was super comfy. Second bedroom very nicely designed and decorated. Liked the quirky lamps in the living room and the well positioned 'inspirational quotes.' The garden was enclosed and the hot tub was a well deserved way to relax. It was sunny every day and we even got a tan from sitting in the hot tub! Amazing hill top views and blue skies galore! We could not fault. You have really thought of most things and get 10 out of 10 from us. We have stayed at Yellowscott and Morton of Pitmilly but so far your location and standard of accommodation wins for us. We had hoped to return at New Year but your minimum of a weeks stay is not ideal during the festive season. I am sure we will be back in the future though! Thanks :-)

We stayed for one night for our wedding anniversary. It was ready for our early arrival with the towels and robes we requested. There doesn't seem to be an office/ reception so we were a little unsure where to go to. However once we got hold of someone she just said we could head straight up.

The lodge is outstanding. Really large, lovely views, enclosed decking, and the hot tub! Couldn't fault it.

We felt like we were the only people in the world here. Really relaxing and peaceful. Loved we could take our small dog as he loved the walks.

We'd love to return. Highly recommend!

Delighted your dog had the chance to enjoy all the walks around the site!

Thanks for uploading some of your holiday snaps too - bubbly in the hot tub looks like heaven!

We look forward to welcoming you back to Balmeadowside again.

We were looking for a last minute 3 days break whilst up in scotland with our 10 month old. We wanted somewhere that felt miles away from it all but still close enough to get to the beach and to some local towns (with a hot tub) and we found it.

They also left quite a bit of stuff so all the essentials like loo roll, washing up liquids, foil , bin bags and teas and coffee all provided.

Hot tub is on 24 hrs so you can jump in whenever, YOu have neighbours but didn't hear a peep and it was Easter weekend.

Perfect location, style, size and features. The team here have really thought of everything.

Just watch out for Towels costing £3 a person and have to be requested, wi-fi signal better in bedroom and TV signal can cut out depending on where you are standing and if you use your phone - bring DVDs just incase (or blu ray).

Book it and you can be assured of the best break you have had in ages.

Well done to the owners!

M and P. x

We enjoyed a two night stay in Cherry Blossom in October 2012, we were very impressed with the cottage and would highly recommend anyone to stay here. The decor was very tastefull and modern, you can tell a lot of thought has gone into the cottage. The hot tub was such a treat and the location of the cottage was perfect - you could not hear or see a thing apart from the local wildlife! It was a great surprise waking up in the morning and having a pack of deer in the field next door. It was perfect coming in from the hot tub and sitting by the stove getting warm. The only thing we would change is that you were closer to us, it was a long drive. We hope to visit again but will stay for longer next time

We have stayed before in the Silver Birch lodge and absolutely loved it. Perfection!!!

This time we opted for a larger cabin to share with 2 friends. Although beautiful, we paid more for essentially an en-suite bathroom, there was no other real difference.

The hot tub, although slightly larger then previous, was older, missing back rests, kept shorting out (we had to climb out and turn isolator switch off/on to re-set regularly) and the tub lights were not working.

The hot tub was also not cleaned in the morning as it had been on our last visit and kind of spoiled the experience for the following day... We spent hours in it... Yuk... This is why I have a 3 for cleanliness and service (Although if instructions were provided I would have been happy to do it myself).

We still love your setup and we will most certainly be back, please don't think I am being a moan, it just wasn't as pleasant as our previous visit (although the cows were adorable!).

Next time we will go back to the cheaper (but not much smaller and newer hot tub) Silver Birch.

Thanks for a good weekend again however.

Regards,

H

Many thanks for taking the time to give us feedback on your stay.

We are dissapointed it wasn't the perfection of your previous visit and will be addressing the issues you raised.

However, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon!

We have just had 7 magical days at Balmeadowside lodges, in the Kingfisher Lodge.
And although Fife is having problem with flooding . It never effected our stay. This is our 11th visit to Balmeadowside, and never once have we been disappointed . The Hot tub is the icing on the cake, and endless walks with our dog Hamish. Make the stay well worth while.
I've no doubt we will return
