“Great base for golfing in and around St Andrews”
Reviewed September 4, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed at the lovely Beach House Walk during The Open in 2015, The house is located close to the beach and the wonderful golf courses of Crail. Kingsbarn is a short drive away and the house is the ideal base to explore all the courses in and around St. Andrews and the East Neuk of Fife. Also the beautiful village of Crail and the scenic harbour are worth exploring. The house is beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and also has a nice little garden. The neigbors are extremely friendly, they even acceptet a package for us. With its own parking spot in front of the house, great restaurants nearby we would stay there again if we go back to this wonderful part of Scotland. There are also bikes available at the house. The house is ideal for a famil up to four.

Dear Wolfgang and Helma,

Thank you so much for the lovely review, so delighted that you found Beach House Walk a pleasure to stay in. I know that the Open was eventful this year, and I hope that you had a relaxing time when you came back to Crail. I do hope that you will return and "haste ye back" as we say in Scotland!
Best Wishes

“Homely accommodation in a quiet seaside village”
Reviewed August 24, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Beach House Walk for two nights back in August while visiting Fife and the East Neuk area for the weekend. It's located only a short drive from Crail village centre and their lovely harbour.

The Beach House Walk was in a perfect location for reaching St Andrews and the other villages we visited during our weekend, with parking both onsite and on street. On this occasion we did not have the time to use the bike cycles, but a great idea to have these available for visitors with many local cycle paths and the beach only a short cycle away.

The accommodation was well presented, clean and tidy with nice homely touches and with a great added benefit of really good Wi-Fi free of charge. It very much felt like our 'home away from home' during our visit and I would definitely stay again when next visiting Fife.

“Excellent base for exploring Fife”

Crail is a lovely spot in a lovey part of the world and Beach House Walk was a perfect base for exploring the East Neuk of Fife. Spotlessly clean accommodation, very comfortable and in a quiet location within easy reach of the coast. Some lovely thoughtful touches and access to bikes were a great bonus - the coast was a 5 minute cycle away. If you have the car you can reach St Andrews in 20 minutes too. Would definitely stay again!

“Great house in lovely location”

Beach House Walk is a really well equipped, clean and comfortable house in a great holiday location. The owners have thought of everything, including buckets and spades, bikes and beach towels. The house has been done up recently and is well furnished. Crail is a great base, the beach there kept our young children happy and there is lots to do nearby without travelling too far. Kingsbarns beach nearby was lovely too. This house is great if you have young kids - stairgate, highchair and cot were all provided and were new and the blackout blinds were a total winner! There is also a garden which helped keep our boys happy! I would definitely recommend this property, the owner was very helpful.

“I can think of only positives for this well equipped, well furnished house in a great location”

I can think of only positives for this well equipped, well furnished house in a great location. A modern house in a lovely area. 100 metres up hill to a hotel with smart lounge bar offering meals. A further 500 metres takes you into the middle of Crail with another hotel offering meals as well as well stocked shops and cafes.

200 metres downhill and you are on the fife coastal path. The number 95 bus stops (most times) close to the house. This bus takes you into St. Andrew's or down to Leven and allows you to walk some of the coastal path and then get the bus back. We did just this, taking the coastal path from the house down to Anstruther. We also used the bus to go into St. Andrew's for a meal and a concert at the byre theatre before catching the last bus back to Crail.

Add to this an owner who is keen to make sure you enjoy your stay and it added up to a great 3 days away.

Hello, thank you so much for the super, informative review on Beach House Walk. We too think it is in an ideal location and we love how you can just stick out your hand wave the bus down and it will pick you up just outside the door going to the short distance to St Andrews or going down the coast to the other fishing villages. Hope you will be back.
