It's not easy planning a golf trip for 8 guys. After a week in St. Andrews, we drove down the coast to Crail and stayed a second week at The Crail Golf Lodge. This house is built right on the golf courses at Crail- overlooking the second green on the Craighead course from one side of the house with expansive views across the Balcomie Course to the sea from the other side. The house is beautifully designed for 6-8 people (or more!) with two kitchen/loiving room areas and 6 ensuite bedrooms- all with nice views. On top of that, there is a locker room in the basement with individual club storage for 8 and with a washer/dryer. Fabulous.
The appliances were top notch and everything was in excellent condition. It was easy dealing with the rental agent, if a bit impersonal. The pretty village of Crail is about two miles down the road and the Crail Golfing Society clubhouse is a short walk away- food and drink available most of the day.
If you have enough golfers this house is perfect.
Spent a week golfing in Crail area and visiting The Open at Carnoustie.Stayed in this wonderful property with great views from every window and terrace and every detail in the house is exceptional. The week was brilliant but the star of the show is the house well worth a visit.
exceptional property in a beautiful location. spent a wonderfull three nights there with family of all ages. appreciated the Christmas decorations. two little girls enjoyed the topsy turvy house and the cosy nights by the log fire. stunning sunrises and sunsets. hope to return in the near future.
We chose this house for a friends birthday celebration because we like the East Neuk of Fife but also because it had such wonderful accommodation- 8 twin rooms, one single and a luxurious suite for the birthday girl, all except one ensuite. 2 living rooms and 2 kitchens meant plenty of space for all our food and drink. We cater for ourselves and this must be one of the best equipped kitchens we have been in. The locker room was perfect for storing jackets, walking boots etc as noe of us were golfing. Walks along the coastal path were easily accessed as were Cambo house, Kingsbarns distillery, any of the fishing villages. To top of our celebrations we had Afternoon tea in the conservatory at the Old Course Hotel. Could have stayed on as so easy to live in.
We stayed at the Golf Lodge for a birthday celebration and had a wonderful time. The house is perfect for a social occasion and the upstairs area is fabulous, great kitchen, huge living room, stunning master suite and the most amazing views. We all loved it and can't wait to go back. Don't hesitate to book, it's even nicer than the photographs can show.
This house is amazing! Had a bit of a hiccup because when we booked a different agency was managing it, but the new agency picked up their slack and made things right. Walking distance (obviously) to Crail golfing society, and a short 20 minute drive to St Andrews. Every window of this house has views that go on for miles. Everything was super clean and modern, with plenty of space for everyone. The two kitchen/lounges were very useful as well. Only thing this place needs is some patio furniture and a hot tub on the back deck <3
A faultless, modern and stylish lodge, beautifully designed to fit perfectly into the surrounding landscape. Luxury accommodation. Good value. Perfect for family gatherings, special events and golfing parties. Short walk to the beach and two links courses. Short drives to Crail, St Andrews, Ellie and many other fife fishing villages. Benefits from two living rooms/kitchens so great for larger parties/families to have separate spaces.
