Myself and my partner stayed in this appt for 2 nights! The appt is immaculate and has everything you need! The owner left a lovely welcome pack which was very much appreciated! Defos would stay here again!
We had a great time in this spaceous, stylish, two-bedroom apartment, Anstruther a pretty small resort and close to St Andrews. The apartment is very well equipped and very clean. The booking process was simple. Our only reservation was in relation to my elderly mother. The apartment does not claim to have (nor did we need) wheelchair access but there were around 7 steps (external & internal) which were just about manageable by my mother (with a stick). We hadn't realised the flat was near the top of a fairly steep street and we assumed ground floor meant no steps. Our presumption: not falsely described! My elderly mother loved the flat but thought I'd mention the potential problems for future elderly guests with poor mobility. If mobility is not an issue, you'll love the flat.
Calabeinn is just a couple of minutes walk to the harbour and all the amenities of Anstruther. It could not be better situated for trips on the May Princess to the Isle of May if you want to visit the wonderful puffins.
The apartment is clean, light and airy. It's well laid out with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. There is plenty of parking at the rear of the building. Don't be put off on arrival by the public stairwell which lacks a little charm.
There's a little welcome pack in case you've forgotten a few bits and fresh milk in the fridge on arrival. Pittenweem Properties handled the booking professionally from beginning to end and Kenny met us at the property to show us around.
East Neuk is beautiful and there is a lovely walk along the coastal path from St Monans via Pittenweem back to Anstruther. The local bus service is also very good. Nearby St Andrews is well worth a visit. Anstruther has a good Co-op supermarket that is within easy walking distance from Calabeinn.
Had a fab weekend in this cracking apartment. Spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped and only a stones throw from the harbour and the heart of the town.
Arrived on 31st Dec 2016 only to be given a starter pack and a bottle of bubbly, what a start, Location was stunning overlooking the harbour and close to all amenities. The apartment itself was immaculate and spotless.Minty the dog had a fab time as well. Will be back
Not that we looked for any, but we genuinely could not find fault with this property. We stayed for 2 nights to visit the Pittenweem Art Festival but would have no hesitation recommending this property for a longer stay. From the time of booking, we felt that the owners were attentive and keen to make our visit go without hiccup. The property itself had everything you would have in your own home. The appliances were in excellent working order and were very easy to operate. The location of the property was as good as it could be. walk to the village centre in 2 minutes. We brought our dogs who were comfortable in the property. The property was very secure and Kenny and Gillian (owners) were available if any questions arose.
