This is a must visit. Fishing has been the bread and butter of the East Neuk and it is amazing to see what a hard life it was. After your trip round the museum you must leave time to go to the cafe. Brilliant home made soup and baking.

Our second visit here today when we had loads of time to spend. What a fantastic place. The history of fishing is exhibited in a real and living way with excellent exhibits, video footage, full-sized sailing vessels, marine engines and loads more. You will need at least two hours to fully appreciate this museum which lovingly brings the hardships and dangers associated with putting fish on your plate.

Everything you ever wanted to know about fishing from the days of steam drifters to present day with all the technology available, is to be found in this museum. It doesn't look big from the outside but is actually huge and a whole morning or afternoon could easily be spent here. There is also a small cafe for a rewarding cuppa after the long walk round all the exhibits.
