Stayed here for a night and had a nice big comfortable room which had everything we required. Large flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities and comfortable bed. Good breakfast, friendly service and overall great value for money. Would definitely return.

Ansthruther the waterfront b & b.
Good, comfortable & clean.  Bed large but zipped down the middle which spoiled the comfort but only a minor grumble.  The shower was poor very limitless pressure & it leaked more water out the hose than out of the shower rose.  Breakfast was very good with lots of choice & I had a very good full English veggie breakfast.  Overall I would heartily recommend staying here & the host was very friendly & helpful.

Booked this place before arriving and opted for the High Tea option. Good selection on the menu but we - along with the vast majority of customers - opted for the fantastic fish & chips (with the high tea option this is served with toast and followed with scones, cakes and a cup of tea).
Service was reasonably efficient and the food was well presented, tasty and represented good value. We will return and having previously queued at a neighbouring establishment for what is regarded as the UK's best fish and chips we don't believe there is much to choose between them.

I enjoyed my stay at the Waterfront very much. The rooms were great and location was great, right across from the harbour. That evening I had the best fish and chips I have every had. and I eat fish and chips almost everynight in Ireland and Scotland. We were given free drink tickets for a sister pub called the Bank and went up and enjoyed a great evening. Had an excellent breakfast in morning and really hated to leave.

Modern hotel with lovely clean rooms looking over Anstruther harbour. Food in restaurant was good and varied, although we had to send one of the mains back but the staff were attentive and removed item from bill with prompt. Great place for a weekend on the East Nuek of Fife.

Spent two nights here in June 2012 (two very warm, sunny days!). Room was very clean and had wonderful sleep in a large comfortable bed. Room was very quiet. Fresh mineral water (still and sparkling) each day in glass bottles, tea and coffee, biscuits. Restuarant served lovely food (and rather large portions which surely would suit the biggest appetite. Smoked haddock definitely recommended !). Would recommend to anyone. Staff welcoming and obliging. Would stay again! :-)

When I arrived, the owner, Pat was a bit brusque-but they were very busy as it was a lovely day, she warmed up aftr a little while. She showed me to my room which was extremely clean, freash and with the added touch of mineral water, fresh flowers-and many types of teas made a weary traveller very happy. The bed and bathroom were huge! My room was No.10 which looked over the courtyard-absolutely gorgeous!
I booked a table for dinner, and Fiona the waitress from the start made the whole experience veryenjoyable. I had ordered the high tea-which was delicious-but had copious amounts of cakes afterwards. When I said I couldn't possibly eat any more-Fiona boxed the cakes up for me to take to my room later, she couldn't have been more attentive. The breakfasts are great-and hot! And what a choice you have! I'm very picky, but to be honest I couldn't fault The Waterfront. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, and will be back again.

Room Tip: Room 10, handy for the high street and up the alleys to the back streets
